I dont need a fire breathing monster the car weighs next to nothing, 300whp is plenty for me on this project. I wouldnt swap a KA, it’ll either be an SR or a VQ, nothing else. (No, no RB2x, no LSx, No 2jz, etc)

Some new pics from today, unloaded it from the trailer, started looking at things to see what’s there, what’s rusty, and what not.

So I climbed under the car while pulling it off the trailer and to my pleasant surprise the frame rails are in good shape, not rusted at all just a couple dents from improper jackstand placement. The floors seem to be almost entirely intact from below might just be a bit “soft” gonna see when I pull the carpet out. Strut towers (front and rear are perfect, rockers are perfect from the side and below. Overall an incredible buy, I’m EXTREMELY happy. Can’t wait to start working on it, will probably pull the spare parts out of the interior and start pulling seats/carpet today or tomorrow.

hhooooorrraaayyyy

Good news to hear, and Inca orange would be sweet.

white white white white white white white white white white white. white.

i prefer the KA for the torque, the SR is a little limp on torque.

i guess you neednt that big of a turbo then if the plan is 300hp… we’ll see how long that plan lasts lol.

Brian

acid dip FTW

That’s expensive…but not a bad idea for a 36 year old car…

It’s not that expensive, but I dont want the downtime involved with it (or the necessary part of stripping absolutely everything. It’s going to get blasted, just need to figure out who I’m going to have do it.

Looks like a fun whip, I do <3 the bimmer wagon next to it.

The ebay ad sounded like it had alot of hidden rust, Im sure he could of got alot more interest if he said how solid it was. Good find.

Great pickup - a dream of most import owners

Hope to see vids of it sideways this forthcoming summer

I would consider phoenix yellow and do a lot of black accents (wheels, wing, etc)
