Kamil's 95 KA24DET project

Small update:

The lightweight overdrive pulleys came in. They originally shipped out the wrong ones so I had to send it back to get the right ones. Took 3 weeks altogether :frowning: Any who, here they are

I haven’t made much progress since I’m missing a major component to the build - my manifold. Should be here on Saturday…crossing my fingers once again. Other than that, my wastegate came in today! I’d recommend buying parts from HorsePowerFreaks to anyone. Great customer service and knowledgable staff and good communication.

Great build.

What do you use for all your painting? HVLP? Powder Coat? Rattle can? Looks top notch.

Thanks bud. The calipers and valve cover were powder coated. Rest of the parts were cleaned, sand blasted and then spray painted. I just took my time witheverything and I think it payed off  Sometime next year I wanna paint the rest of the car but for now, I wanna make sure it runs 1st!

Before I get my hands dirty with the Subaru today, I wanted to show you guys something…its finally here! I waited almost 2 months for this piece!

I wish man. My daily blew a head gasket, which I continued driving. About a month later, it developed a rod knock so it needed a fix. It is currently torn apart for a rebuild so the 240sx project is put on hold until my Subie is back on the road.

I’ll be hitting this build hard come spring. The daily has been rebuilt and running like a champ getting AWD ~27mpg. I am gathering more parts as the days go by. Here’s a lil teaser:
