Kia Cadenza Thoughts

The new Kia Cadenza had caught my eye.

I moved this to it’s own thread as I feel the same way. It felt odd to look at and think “wow, I like it”. Has anyone driven one and have thoughts on it?

I have the same feeling for this as I do the Hyundai Genesis. For the money, I’d rather get something else.

35-41k for a Kia is a lot

They would be better served to build a quality car and ramp the price up over time instead of jumping into that price point.

Hyundai Equus. 60k+, no thanks.

Looks like a es350 lexus mated with a chrysler 200.

Kias have no seoul.

Love how it looks. I’m sure they are trying to brand themselves as a quality car maker. Hard to do that with nothing in your lineup other than cheap cars.

they’re gay.

Work at a kia dealership, pretty sure we have the first one in Ottawa. Its meh. Would of been sicker if it was the V8 rwd concept though.

You guy say these are cheap, but what makes them cheap? I have seen lately that they are stepping their game up and they want to be known in the market as a good, quality car.

there definitely not cheap … kia (since being bought out by hyundai ) have come ALONG way

my loaded optima turbo sticker is 31k … i dont think there are any cars in that price range that can compete

long gone are the days of the shitty sportage and shittier rio … plus you cannot beat the warranty

You can have all my nopes.

So many non-Kia options for that kind of money.

jay there arent many … ya gotta factor in what options you get for the money …

a comparable garbage lacrosse is almost 45k … compared to a loaded cadenza at 41k …

the max is good … but lacks the warranty

Those who are saying they are cheap, are driving (in my opinion) cheaper cars than this Kia. I would day Toyota is one of the cheapest cars around. Stick Dodge/Chrysler right in there too. I guess I was just looking for actual facts to back up all the negative comments towards this car…

Kia/Hyundia were throw away cars for the longest time.

There quality has improved over the past few years but so had Ford/Chevy for that matter.

Toyota has been putting out quality products for years now same thing with Honda.

The Cadenza base price is 35k it options upto 41

In that price range you have the 3 series(320/328), Audi A4, Infiniti Q50, and a handful of other cars.

So you have proven quality platforms vs the new kid on the block with its roots in budget cars.

Thanks…but no thanks.

gm quality has not improved

toyotas are great cars …

ford prices and not willing to deal just turns me off to them

I guess I will just never get over the cheap/lack of interior that Toyota puts out. To me, the interior is a big part of it and I haven’t seen any Toyota interiors that make me change my feelings on it. I love the interior on my TL, just wish they would have put an aux jack in it instead of a tape deck. Being a 2004, you would think they were smart enough by then…

For this price go get an AWD TL and enjoy
