Failure to obey a traffic control device(see above)
Driving to fast for conditions
Failure to wear a safety restrant, From an accident that i was actually knocked out at, aparently i admitted it while in an ambulance
Failure to obey a traffice control device, i slid through a yellow light, the cop got three people with me that did this
6 other random speeding tickets
Unsafe start, i apparently squelled my tires
4 years of driving, 6 tickets…
4 speeding tickets within 6 months:
-45 in 30 and a 49 in 30 on the same street, with the cops in the same location
-78 in a 55 on my way to driving school to make up for the last ticket.
-74 in a 65
2 tint tickets
i never thought about that, i’ve prolly gone through the boarder 1/2 dozen times and never heard anything about the radar detector…i’ll keep that in mind next time.
-56 in a 40 = 2 parking tickets
-donuts in elementary school parking lot(summer/no little kids) = let off
-burnout out of friends driveway = let off
-taking a turn too fast(i wasn’t) = let off/bitched at next to the cop car.
i’m a firm believer in driving safely while speeding…inturn i don’t speed too often, just accelerate quickly. i love the sound of turbo! but don’t we all!
The last ticket I had (that stuck) was in 1993.
Haven’t had a ticket stick since then (was issued, then dismissed).
However, today was another story:
Was on-call today - and got called in with the rain.
Probably hydroplaned coming off the on-ramp & wound up fishtailing. The ramp went from dry at the top of the curve to wet at the bottom. I had the traction control on, but it didn’t engage. Also, I’ve been running on my stock tires, which are pretty worn now (maybe 1/8th inch tread)
Anyhow, I tagged the guardrail on 490 West, then ended up facing the wrong way.
Good thing there was no traffic. Engine never died, and I just turned around and got off at the next exit. Got home, changed cars & went back to work.
-Impudent speed.
-Unsafe Start
-“40” in a 30 in lockport is the only speeding ticket I have recieved
(i was doing around 65 outskits of lockport towards pendelton road goes from 55 to 30 and he was just after the sign :/)
I have been pulled for speeding/no front plate/stop signs a few times…But have gotten off with warnings (i just shown them my tits!)
I have gotten 2 tickets in 5 years of driving - running the stupid ass blinking yellows that change to reds in front of UB, and a no front license plate ticket in Kenmore which I got off of creatively.
I get pulled over all the time. You guys must just not know how to talk to cops :gotme:
Well I feel a lot less safe driving in Buffalo now…
One in Webster for 56 in a 40 -> Written as Disobey Traffic Control Device
One in Hamburg for 43 in a 30 or some ish like that -> 3 Parks
One in Tonawanda for 46 in a 30 -> 2 Parks & School
A few years back 2 of my buddies and I went for a cruise after studying all night for a DiffEq’s exam. Saw a nice lookin 78ish Monte in the well lit Carruba lot on NFB. Not thinking, we pull in to the next driveway and hop out to go gawk for a second. We didn’t even reach the car before the first Tonawanda cop pulled in. So we walked over as we’re realizing how shady this looks. (It was 1AM and my buddy’s car was an old Caprice with a bunch of tools in the trunk.) “Good evening officer.” He took our ID’s, we were real polite, blah blah blah. 3 Tonawanda cops, 2 Amherst cops, and an unmarked car later we were charged with 2 counts of trespass: 1 for Carruba and 1 for the hair place next door we were parked at. The best part was that when we went to court we were dressed all preppy amongst all the little Juvies. The DA took one look at us and told us we were the cleanest cut young men that he’d ever seen in there. We told him we were all engineering students at UB in the honors program with 3.xx GPA’s. ACD.
