Thats a customer of ours in Idaho. I loaded that front clip thats on that 240 in Japan 5 months ago. They did a good conversion. I cheaked it out a good month ago. Pretty solid and drove nice. They do pretty good work and as far as they told me it sounded not too hard. They bolt the doors to the clip and then lign it up with the car and then tack it. The rest is reinforcement.
seems like alot more work than its really worth… would that fall under the catigory of VIN swapping… cus i have heard of hack shops that take a writen off vehicle, and swap front ends with the same vehicle that is in ok shape… so they take 2 shit cars and make 1 good one… very illegal… very dangerous… how would they not get in trouble for that?

I agree. I have a GTR and I have to say that I would definitely prefer a LHD. If you are all about wanting people to look at you and say you are so cool for having a RHD then go for it but that is not for me.
The don’t actually swap the entire front clip, i.e., welding on a front end. They just use the parts from the front clip to put on the original car.
The biggest downside to JDM cars is RHD. Why why why?

The only reason I have a RHD is because I wanted a GTR since I visited my sister in Japan (Aizu Wakamatsu) in 1990. And guess what? They don’t make LHD GTRs and if they did I would have gotten one of those. RHD sucks and I hate it and converting a car to RHD so you are “cool” is, as has been posted, a bit of a waste of money. More cool would be to mod your car to get amazing performance…that is cool.
Having said that, it is feasible especially with an S13, S14 or any other RHD car that has a LHD counterpart.
As for “kids” I have had my driver’s licence for longer than some of you on this board have been alive – all due respect intended (even older than Jared ) :lol:
