my dad just got a letter from MTO stating that his licence was suspended nov.29 under section 46 of the highway traffic act. apparently he didn’t pay some kind of fines.
the problem is, he hasn’t GOTTEN any such thing (no fines, no tickets, nothing at all) and nobody understands what the hell happened for us to be receiving this letter…
maybe he was street racing, besides, they dont have to have evidence to assume he was street racing, and dont forget, it is Ontario so everyone street races…
rip it up and burn it. if u never got it, it doesn’t take effect…. Unless u had to sign for it… then ur just about screwed and u have to call some court number blah blah blah…
wrong, it does take effect, it’s in the police system. It’s from paying a speeding ticket late or whatever. It’s retarded, and it will cost you the ticket, $75 for a new license and a week or something.
You all bitch and whine far to much about ontario, i suggest you look at how strict AUS, NZD laws are and then bitch and whine when you see we have it easy.
My dad never got any kind of ticket in the last 3 years, except for a few parking tickets but i know those don’t count under the HTA (and even with those, we’ve either paid them off or scheduled to fight them in court).
My dad makes his living by his car. He drives everywhere. If it takes a week before he gets his licence back, it’ll be a whole week with no pay, and that means he’s fucked.
haha yea i do it all the time. if something comes in the mail they have no proof you got it, coulda got lost in the mail or something, so when asked just say “well i never got that” with a surprised look on ur face. iv dont it with a bunch of crap lol it works awesome. note I am not condoning any illegal activity =]
well fuck those countries, son drivers belong in madmax society anyway  another reason to move to japan, and its actually pretty bad in japan too, you can go to jail for alot of minor shit

haha have fun telling a creditcard company that, your bank, or any other thing of that nature. Good bye credit.
oh yeah, ignoring the problem is really going to make it go away. The suspension is in the system, if he gets pulled over the cop will take his lisence, and if he’s unlucky charge him for driving under suspension.
Do what you want, but your dad taking advice from kids like this is retarded.

who said anything about a credit card? if it comes down to it. for one week im sure that that excuse will suffice. besides that’s if he gets pulled over to. if it comes to that or loosening a weeks pay, id risk it. it worked when i lost my incoherence. i never got the cancellation. there fore i was in belief the plan was still active. work for me for 2 weeks. your choice tho.
if you’re dad doesn’t know what the ticket was for, get an abstract. It costs $13 it’ll sell you what your driving record is for the past 3 years. Though it won’t say where he got the ticket, but if the ticket is old, it’ll be on microfiche film.
Used to work at the MTO, so i know how they roll. Also having your license suspended might effect your insurance?!?!? i guess it depends on what ins. co. you’re with.
Better clear it up. Clear it up then fight it, then get reimbused.
I think thats a form ordered by your doctor. meaning that he is unsafe? if i remember correctly. the doctor or somthing like that has told the MTO that he is unsafe, thus suspending his license until the doctor feels that he’s safe.
don’t take that for sure but i believe thats what it is or somthing like that. my grandfather got it too a while back.

I’ve known a few people with court judgements against them…
one didn’t pay and they silently added it to the time he got to renew his license, so rather than $xx he had a ~1600$ debt against it as well, and it had to be paid prior to renewal
the other went to trial over a $3k lawsuit from the govt about his gravel pit not meeting standards or something, so it was just a municipal fine for breaking bylaws, when he went to appeal, they made him sign a document stating that they will suspend his license if he lost the appeal and didn’t pay within 30 days
it’s a good tactic from a law enforcement standpoint, how do you force people to pay fines, parking tickets or whatever… threaten to take the one thing they can’t live without, or they get royally screwed if they get caught without it anyway
yes most insurance companies will treat it as a felony offense and either drop you or put you back in the 16yr old category heh
suspended license = $150 reinstatement (up from $100–thanks Dalton) and 3-4 days, but the last one I did (2 months ago) IIRC I paid the outstanding ticket and got a print out license with tomorrows date, and I had 6 weeks to pay re-instatement…
You didn’t run any red-light cameras in daddy’s car did you? did he?
^these may just stand against your sticker renewal however, I am unsure…
You can claim that you didn’t recieve it, but thats a risky game, if you get pulled over then you are ‘officially’ notified of your suspension and have to get a tow…
