Im 5’8 when I was competing at 198 I was around 9-10 percent. Now that I have put on weight its around 18. I rather have the weight there now n worry bout the fat later. My numbers have blown up since the weight I have put on, I am at 225 now.
What are you competing at lifting or bodybuilding?
hahaha
my gf’s roomate takes this and that’s what he calls it. says he shits like moose right after he drinks it.
I’m 6’2". You are like me, it’s called “ectomorph”. You are tall and skinny and can eat french fries and cheeseburgers all day, and not put on an ounce of fat. It’s a hell of a lot harder for guys like us to put on muscle than it is for fat guys to drop bodyfat though. Sometimes I wish I was a fat guy trying to lose weight, but it is what it is.
believe me… its A LOT MORE of a pain in the ass to lose it… so much more you have to be critical on
6’4’'-245 lbs
and no, im not a fatty
hey joel, finally got in the gym with jesse tonight. lol. ahh, heavier free weights feel so much better than what i was limited to in the basement.
all i can say is EAT EAT EAT (the right food, solid meals, and water)
I’m gonna disagree with you there. Half of America is overweight pretty much. Go down ANY aisle at a Tops or Wegmans or whatever, and you’ll find a SHITLOAD of food tailored to the overweight crowd. Want fat-free mayo? Check. Want zero calorie soda? Check. Want lo-carb brownies? Check. Want to go a little more extreme? Liposuction, check. Stomach stapled, check. Lazy and want to just pop a pill? Hydroxcut, Ripped Fuel, check, check, the list goes on and on.The whole world caters to the overweight crowd, not to the tall skinny guy trying to put on weight. An “ectomorph’s” body is so efficient at burning itself up and using muscle and fat as fuel, that it requires an overwhelming amount of effort to overcome. I feel like shit most of the time, because I have to eat so much damn food just so I don’t risk losing anything. Like I said though, it is what it is.
You’re gonna grow just by being in the gym, having access to so much more equipment, and being able to hit your muscles in different angles, through different ranges. You’ll never touch your weights at home again.
i use noexplode. its decent too.
other then that im just take 3shakes a day of truemass for protein and one water and casien protein before bed. then i take the creatine from muscle tech and things seem to be working well. 18lbs i gained in a month and a half
I’m 6ft and went from 167lbs ~> 204lbs in a year thru eating right, whey protein & dedication. Not to mention i have big papa pump as my partner lol (bladez). Currently cutting since january and weighed in at 192lbs yesterday, goal is about 185lbs shredded
I personly feel that some people go overboard on supplements, using them to compensate for lack of dedication, its just entertaining seeing small guys taking every supplement on the self then at the gym they are there for 1/2 hour and spend 15 min standing there and walking to the water fountain. Pick up some heavy weights and pound them out!
Mike
Yep thats why i took it twice then gave it to my roommate. Although it tasted pretty good lol.
You are wrong. When cutting i can drop 20lbs of fat in 8-10 weeks there is no way i could gain muscle that fast. It just takes extreme discipline and taking the time to learn your body.
Way to go on the progress man. On your supplement theory you are 100% correct. These guys that havent even made it to the gym yet want to get $1267128 in supps. I am having trouble deciding what their logic is because i come up with two anwsers. Some people really think that supps will make you huge and will make up for not training hard. But i do find alot of people that think there is like some super secret training and supp grail they need to follow to get big. Like if they miss a shake or a dont formulate a perfect workout plan they wont see any progress.
^ Listen to the man, he knows his shit
I compete in power lifting. I also believe anyone can put weight on.
I had no problem putting weight on… My problem was being 6’4 and looking like I put weight on.
Extremely frustrating to see these little jacked assholes 5’10 and smaller walking around like bricks when I would lift double what they were lifting, and I would look no where near as big or defined as them.
220lbs was my biggest, 2 years ago… now I’m 225 and going to have to shift the weight from my fat stomach back up to my arms chest and what not. Ugh talk about a long road ahead.
Anyone can put it on and take it off its just a matter of discipline.
…wait. Your girlfriends roommate is a guy? :eyebrow:
im like 6’1’’ 188. I might be able too bench 225 once. Im dont consider myself weak by any means but damn…you guys gotta be pretty hardcore. Im a jogger though…dont care much to improve upper bod.
Hardcore no, dedicated yes. BTW i run like a mofo and got the t-shirts to prove it!
I just started lifting 2 months ago. Ill be there in a year…maybe
