yea, treat the cops with some civility and respect and they wont hassle you when you get pulled over. i try not to stand out or attract attention to myself when i’m driving. i don’t try to pull stupid shit on the road. i’m not surprised they don’t bother me. and those two times they pulled me over, they were “just checking”, i hadn’t done anything wrong. being all pissy about cops isn’t the right attitude, and you reflect that when you talk to them, whether you mean to or not. jesse’s right, they are there for the good of all drivers, regardless of how annoying they can be sometimes. they’re just doing their job (generally speaking of course).
People who have a big hate on for cops usually give cops reason to bother them, from my experience. I’m 25 years old, and have only run into the cops 2-3 times, and all were for something I was doing that was extremely stupid. Most cops are out there to protect your ass. I like cops, and have met plenty of them who are great guys who respect citizens and have passion for what they are doing. Quite honestly I’ve heard a million snot nosed kids like you complaining about them, and it is just so old…

what you can do is…if you have an aero kit and iunno if ppl with intercoolers will agree though…make a couple of custom L brackets with some piece of flat metal and drill em and use em as mounting brackets where the FMIC mouth is in ur front air dam…makes it look like ur plate is floating in the middle…sure its not the forwardmost and top most part of the bumper but as long as cop sees the plate is there i dont think he’ll have any beef with it
my buddy did that to his 96(?) celica looked pretty decent cuz he painted the brackets black so u cant really see it
