69 made… sounds like the original 1969 where 69 were produced… id like to see someone build there own ZL-1 engine to the exact spec listed.
heres a production one…600hp…

GMMG teamed up with GM to produce 69 of them…No different then SLP teaming up with GM to produce SLP SS’s and WS6’s.
Theres a z51 vette if that makes any one feel better
that zl1 is cool ride.
I guess you are not familiar with APEX seals?
I have seen the same with imports. Other than a few cars you witnessed to and from the track, is that your basis on your displacement/streetability theory? To be honest, you have a point though because at some point, you will run into limitations of pushing air through the smaller block. But, that depends on the car.
Neo has a point regarding the type of car affecting streetability. That’s how I took one of his points.
I am speculating but after talking to others about the challenges with handling a high FP FWD car even on slicks.
well thats another part of my position, is the fact that you can take that engine and put it into another car thats rwd, but no one does it
thats cuz swapping a k20 and making it rwd would be a massive expense it wouldnt even be worth it for the power gains anymore. ever think about dat?
Mark, are you drunk?
that was retarded :lol
Oh no you didnt mike
uh just a little, and yeah that made no sense :lol I thought he was actualy talking about swaping a k20 into a domestic and making it rwd I was like :wtf guess intoxicated my mind wanders but w.e I just finished all my work, took long enough :headbang
:haha… domestic fanbois using rotary engines and STIs in their comparison… how convenient for them :lol :lol
There hasn’t been a bone stock import engine on here that has blown, but there has been a blown LSx one. Imports greatly outnumber domestics on this board too. I think the LSx engines are great, but the argument you guys are bringing forward is truly lame.
but I thought people were saying my motor wasnt blown??? Either way, with a “bad” cylinder, it was still running 13’s in stock form…you dont see blown imports still running 13’s stock.
you need to stop. your “LSx can do no wrong” mentality really makes you look stupid.
maybe your missing it…
their was a big arguement with people saying that my motor wasnt really “blown” because The cylinder still had compression…(35psi of it)…im being sarcastic.
also, correct me if im wrong but didnt Swifty’s bone stock beater just blow the fuck up?
What does a bone stock LS1 motor support power-wise on stock internals?
I forget who mentioned it but they said 20PSI or so is out of the question. Due to compression/
depends on the setup/tune…Theirs N/A bolt on kits for the LS1 that make it 515hp, on stock cubes…just a cam and head kit…
then theirs Boosted applications that usually run around 550rwhp on 7psi with the 16G APS kit…on average, daily driving a usual stock internal motor can handle between 550-600rwhp and still be reliable…their are exceptions with guys making upwards of 600rwhp on stock internal motors without a problem, but thats not most of them.
stock compression is 10:1
if you want to read up a little bit heres a link to a bunch of fast, stock bottom end LS1’s…how fast has a STOCK lsx been FI - LS1TECH - Camaro and Firebird Forum Discussion
600RWHP but what if you lower the compression? Is that the limiting factor?
Someone on this site has a Z71 Camaro. Only one ever made.
whos dat
