Sure, plenty of people run great times on it. For me, I just slip and slide because the track is greasy. I do better on the street. Would I do better at ATCO? Island? No idea. However, they aren’t putting down VHT for the hell of it.
LVD isn’t doing it because they don’t have to.
Yea, everyone from the surrounding states are going to LVD because it’s a kick ass track. People that regularly go to Island/ATCO just haven’t found out about LVD. Please.
Again, great we have a track local but it’s not set up like the other tracks in the area.
i hook fine at lvd, BUT the track IS in horrible shape. its UPHILL, lacks any sort of traction agent and has rebar poking through the pavement down track. not exactly the best conditions to run. atco would be my first choice then e-town… LVD is towards the bottom of the list but i go because its local… and cheap.
Way to twist my words. We were comparing cars here… so lets compare a care that runs at atco to a car that runs a Douglas Dragway in Wyoming. There are obviously much better preped, maintained and buit tracks than LVD but unless your going to take the 3 hour drive and spend $80 to run somewhere else than quit bitching.
I was stating that the track is the one common veriable in the comparison of 2 cars
AWD guys ALWAYS have an excuse for not hooking or not running good. Im soo sick of hearing it
Travis, If you want to keep running all season so you can say your car can run X all year than cool, but All season tires are just not going to give you the traction you need for the power you have regardless of track prep. Rubber is the only thing the links car with road so if youre gonna skimp out on it your traction will suffer. Its just like swift runnning DRs… he should be on slicks. Run some sticky rubber and im sure you will be 11s all day.
Thats all Im gonna say as its time to live life right now and leave this stupid desk
well fwiw i happen to like my subaru and the way it responds to mods. a simple 1500 bones got me a 12.5 and if i wasnt such a shitty driver :eek i believe i could do better :giggedy
as for my thought on the LS series engine there are not bad. but certainly not my cup of tea as for most that i run into i usually see them in my rear view mirror… Flamesuit on :cool
A winter tire is soft compound, with less belts than a standard tire and weigh less. They are almost a DR with deep tread… he would do better on snows. Nicks S4 ran a 12.3 on Blizzaks
Ok and my all seasons hooked just as well bc it prolly had a similar tread design… but a few posts ago u just talked shiot against travis running all seasons saying they can get the grip, sounds to me like ur contradicting urself
Travis said he would run better with more traction. I said get DRs on all 4. He is happy with his All seasons… Conversation over. I would be more than happy with a 1.7 60ft.
we both sort of contradicted ourselves… oh well
i dont remember saying anything that contradicted myself… as for u thx for admitting it. Maybe is travis could drive “sry travis” then it be a different story bc ive seen Sti’s with 2x as much power is him run GREAT times with all season tires… now the convo is over. nuff said
