^exactly what I was looking for. Thanks dude.

The other night i rejetted the carbs and slapped them on, buttoned up the wiring, routed the clutch and throttle cables, and fired the bike on starter fluid for a quick sec. She wanted to go in a bad way on the 2nd kick!

This LED taillight/ plate light is super bright. Btw the bike is still wired for turns, but im not going to run them.

I didnt do much today but i spent a few hrs in the garage after my folks left. Im kind of puttin’ until a few more parts arrive but i wanted to do something unique and give the bike more of a cafe feel. As opposed to the circle speed holes people usually put on their sprocket covers, i did this.

I still need to finish the edges and smooth everything out, but i fucking love it. You can also see how the rearset linkages will look with the copper sleeve, im pretty happy with those too.

new 16/33 (1 up 2 down) sprockets are on the way as well as a gold chain. Lowbrow customs has orange cloth spark-plug wire so i returned the fugly yellow and got some orange on the way and besides that im pretty much done spending. The only other thing i need to scoop is some black exhaust wrap from swerve on monday.

Hey, does anyone have a chain breaker tool I could use? I just realized I need one. (I guess I should buy one anyways)

This CL175 tank I had kicking around looks pretty rad, albeit not the best fit. Throwing it up here for a laugh.

that sprocket cover looks cool

Bump.

I actually had a bump of my own today, unlike the other fuckers here. Nothing major, as I am still waiting on a new sprocket and chain as well as a few other bits in the mail. I was hoping to get it rideable this weekend but I don’t even have fucking tracking on the sprocket/chain yet. Shit.

Anyways, I returned the fugly yellow spark plug wire and picked up this orange shit from lowbrow. The kit was actually cheaper than the wire was per foot so I got it, and I have NGK 5ohm resistor caps for the plugs. Sweet.

Yesterday I picked up some black exhaust wrap from Paul at Swerve. He hooked it up as usual. Then about an hour later, a dude from WNY sportriders sent me a message about some slashcut mufflers he had no use for anymore that would fit my bike. I was skeptical until he sent me a picture. They are RAD! The only thing that I need to sort out is how I am going to end the pipes as the tips get in the way of the rearsets kinda… I’ll prolly cut the pipes down an inch or 2 and toss an angles brass end piece on, wrap it and call it a day. These pipes are so much lighter and ride the lines of the bike so much better than the stock ones. I’m pumped.

looking good man!

Looks good! Hopefully you can get those parts in! It’s supposed to be nice out this weekend.

Yeah I know. I’m pissed. I put the order in Tuesday. Unless they just didn’t send the tracking email… so much for 48 hour turnaround on all orders. SHIT.

Where did you order from? DCC usually gets me stuff pretty quick.

DCC didnt have the 110link gold chain in stock so the order held with NO notification. I was just on the phone with them and he bumped it up to a 120 link gold chain they had in stock at no additional charge. I guess they’ve had record sales for the past 2 weeks and they are pretty swamped. I’m not overly concerned. I’ll just have to get it on the road early next week. :frowning:

At least yours will be out soon, lol. Hopefully my hoop gets made and welded on along with my seat getting mounted this weekend! If so next week I’ll be swapping a bunch of Nick’s stuff on and get her going.

Get it going kiid! I need to have someone weld a hoop on mine. I think it’ll really ‘finish’ the tail section nicely.

I’ll sort out the exhaust and rearsets linkages this weekend. Once the chain and sprocket are in i’ll be ready to ride.

I finished the shift linkage 100% and wrapped the exhaust. Copper tips and sleeved linkages really make it pop. Just waiting on parts now:tdown:

the copper turndowns look weird as 90* angles…45* would have done it I think… just my $.02

Read my mind. i wasn’t liking how i wrapped it towards the copper end and I felt like the metal ties looked like shit too. i cut the wrap back to the band clamp and cut the copper tip down. I like it much better this way.

MUCH better

WHAAA!
