jokes… dude… your all jokes… Your MUCH closer to me then MSSC is and frankly I don’t have a problem telling this to your face. But so what if I do? your going to hit me with that gay hat? get real. I just find it funny that’s thier is like a dozeon of you at this ‘tuning shop’ and by your claim not a one of you actualy tunes? see, that’s ’ irony funny’…
eat a dick? sex with you?? what? are you crusing for a date? try somewhere else, this door don’t go both ways.
Lots of different levels of people doing and wanting many different levels of control or lack of control… I’ve found, particularly in the 240 area that there are two distinct classes, thoae that are ’ bolt on’ and those that are ’ hands on’… if your bolt on, then get the SR/HKS turbo kit and the AEM or Wolf3D, or even a pretunned Mines ECU and setup your car to it’s specs…
If your hands on, then your not just interested in the abilities you gain from upgrades but also how those upgrades work and making yourself a better driver/owner. Be it doing 100% of yor own work on everything or doing some of it and working with others who know otherstuff to make the rest happen…
Fabrication is perfect example, ones offs, that need tweaking … be it one of a few times… is perfectly acceaptable to some people becuse they are getting what they want out of the experience… both functionally and otherwise… others can’t deal with this… the need to be able to bolt something on from a page of instructions with all the parts in baggies and labled ect… is what they need and require… they don’t want nor do they care about the rest. It’s a simple matter of what you as a person are wanting from your purchases.
So MS is not for everyone, nor is an AEM or some other plug and play system for others…
So, once you know what type of person you are it just comes down to the factors like; cost, useability and functionality within your parameters.
I am at MSSC … so I don’t really see how I’m closer to you than MSSC?
I know you love the hat. Thanks for noticing. It’s always nice to have fans. Do you want the pic in wallpaper size for better self abuse? How about a nice collection of portraits? I’d head down to Sears for you.
Since when did I claim that MSSC was a tuning shop?
And when did I say we could or couldn’t do any tuning?
It’s a speed and custom shop. There, we make things either custom, or faster or both.
And our customers really don’t seem to mind being sent down the road for on dyno-tuning by someone with many years of experience doing just that.
The ironing is delicious, what with the way we say one thing and ironically mean what we say.
I suppose you often battle cars at the hairdressers?
And I’m guessing the Battle Auto Salon is what … definitely not a grammar studio. Home for wayward boys? I dunno.
Out of the “dozen” in that photo … what, 3 of us work there?
I’ve been waiting for probably more than a year now for you to say something to my face. :sadwavey:
Please don’t leave me hanging any longer.
Again, if your problem is with me, leave MSSC out of it. You can waffle at me all day long, but insulting MSSC isn’t just insulting me.
Anywho, for those that know me, and how ‘little’ I know about cars
I’ll be happy to let you know how I make out with the BikiRom.
I for am not going into this blind folded at the risk of putting thousands of
my hard earned dollar on the line.
Only reason I didn’t do MS is because I don’t want to have to deal with building an EMS and learn to tune it. And because of my
little to no knowledge in electricals and mechanics, I didn’t bother.
With the BikiRom, I’ll get first hand at learning to tune the motor. Still
a risk, but a far lesser one then MS.
i suggest to everyone to get an AEM EMS or a power fc, and work an extra 40 hours at ure job to make up for the extra spending…cuz in the end, u will save 40 hours of time cuz the aem and the power fc are so much more user friendly then any other system out there…
besides doody in your pants I’m dying to see what YOU ’ custom make’ …
if you actually took the time to research the use of ‘salon’ in the automotive format you’d realize that it’s a descriptive of the overall oncept of a shop… unless of course the Tokyo auto salon is indeed your version of a big hairstyling clinic. Your too lowbrow to have a clue what the term means in this context is, fairly irepresenative of your upbringing I gather.
As you’ve siad, you’ve had an issue for awhile, even when you did live up north of ‘GTA’ now that you’ve moved I’m assuming you grow balls… You’ve 'waited ’ a year yet you’ve made no attempts to come forward yourself to recolve this… that’s not my problem… however If we happen to be in the smae place at the sme time , I will make sure that I DO … tell it all to your face… a general reitteration of the last year of so if you choose. If you can’t wait then I’ll be at dereks tonight… talk to you then maybe?
pretty much anything that could be said about ‘chioces’ and peoples own ideas of the ‘best’ ECU were more the adequately covered. However I think what needed to be said otherwise is done… so if you or anyone else has something to add to the actual topic please do so…
Is this a Bikirom vs. MA2 thread or a BAS vs. Mr200 thread?
I have not had internet for a while so this is the first time I have seen this thread, reading over it I have come to realize that people like to balieve things are harder then they have to be.
My first coment has to do with ASAFC’s, While they are great for cars that are slightly moded with bigger injectors etc. they are great but like BAS said they are 2 dementional and have no realtion to load on the engine they only correct for RPM and leave the hard work up to the stock ecu which is TUNED FOR MOST EFFICIENT GAS MIALAGE AND EMISSIONS not power. In my opinion an ASAFC used with a wideband 02 can be efective but you are limited to what you can do.
I can not comment on the Bikirom as I have never heard of it befor this thread.
The MS2 with on the V3 board is by for the best standalone unit you can get for the money. If you know how to use it and use it well it is just as good as a HallTech I mean people use these systems on planes for christ sake, you people aer worried about blowing an engine and these guys are trusting these $300 computers with they’re lives.
If you don’t know how to use the MS well then thats fine, you just won’t be able to use it to it’s full effect BUT!! BUT!!! its is still better then a SAFC even for a beginer. As far as fuel goes it is quite simple to do if you are useing a wideband with it, all you have to do is set your target afrs for each map bin and the MS will read the wide and adjust to the target afr.
EG. If you are at 5000rpm and your at 120 Kpa (over 100Kpa you are under boost) and you want a target afr of 13.7:1 you simply put 13.7 into that spacific map bin and the Ms will do its job to reach that target afr at that spacific preasure. Remembering that preasure is relevant load.
I could go on for ever about the benefits and the how its not that hard to use the MS but I won’t.
Mike my suggestion to you is read the MS manual, if you can understand even just the tunning theory then get a MS and a wideband. If you have someone to install it and set yor fuel enrichment, requires fuel warm up enrichmients DEACCEL and fast idle then the rest is some what easy (as long as you have a wideband which you should get with iether control unit.
Oh yeah MS also has extensive data logging capabilties which that other thingy doesn’t.
Plz never quote that horrible-ass movie again, mkay?
I’m also very interested in MS, and I’m mostly curious how difficult it would be to make it work on a COP design such as the SR or CA, if you didn’t want to f*k around with ignition for the time being and just do fuel, but ofcourse still retain the ability to do ignition as well, when you feel you’ve got fuel down to the point where you’re comfortable with it. Plz no e-thuggery boys, this thread is better than that.
bas how can you say you are even a shop you live with your parents and your like 40 years old your friends pay u a couple bucks to work on their cars sounds like you have the same thing i had when i was 16 permission to use your dads tools and garage
well it looks like we have all come to the same agreement anyways.
MS has tons of features and has the potential to be among the best and most comprehensive tuner tools you can buy and comparatively inexpensive as well.
biki-rom is biki-rom
and if you dont know what you are doing and are not going to take full advantage of either of these set ups then you may want to consider less expensive and less comprehensive tuning tools that will provide satisfactory performance and control.
