Need help(speeding ticket)

I  @ the radar was old defense or in car witness to a lower speed.

Yeah like you running that guy (with his puppy in back) off the road (from the 90 going on the 400) last year was a smooth move…

EXLAX

I think all of you should jump off this kids nuts for a couple minutes and think about it. Now anyone here who’s never done 37MPH over the speed limit can stay, everyone else GTFO. Yeah, exactly.

Just because a road is a 35 zone doesn’t necessarily mean anything. The boulevard is 35 all the way from main until sheridan, yet that’s hardly a dangerous stretch to go fast, just a speed trap. Anyone ever go to darien lake and get caught in “corfu” where the road goes from 55 to 35 for 3 blocks? How about Arcade where they sit there and wait where the road goes from 55 to 30 to pull you over at 32?

Posted speed limits don’t necessarily mean shit about the surrounding area. Half the time it just means the local court wants more money. Russian, unlike the rest of this board i wish you the best of luck in getting off, you’re still gonna need it.

if u can get a lawyer i would…72 in 35 is tough…good luck…and by the way points arnt that bad…my insurance got lower even with 2 points added on

Posted speed limits are there for a reason. NFB is 35/45 because of all the traffic that has to pull in / out of complexs/houses/malls.

Speed limits are also based on visibility. The further you can see, the higher the speed limit is probably going to be.

Traffic patterns, visibility, residential/commercial zoning, all have stuff to do with speed limits. Not so much your “they want your money theory.” It’s more of a “More than half the population is made up of fucktards that can think with common sense.”

I definitely see your point, and depending on the situation I dont know if this kid was putting anyone in danger, but given that it happened at 1am, this could potentially have been OK. 72 on NFB at 1am is probably fine, because the traffic that it’s there for is largely inactive, other than APD.

:eyebrow:

Wrong. It’s full of hard-to-see residential side streets that constantly have cars darting in and out. When a road has a 35MPH speed limit, it’s because it’s not safe to go fast on that road. We should lay off The_Russian’s nuts because he gets that now, although it seems that you don’t.

Except for the drunk guy who punches it out of the Indian Quick-E-Mart thing without his lights on so you don’t see him and swerve around him only to head-on hit and kill someone innocently driving up the other lane. But what are the odds… Dude, seriously. Maybe going 10 or 15 over under the right conditions is reasonable, but 37? Double the posted limit?

Haha this russian kid, has my vote, for the worst person ever.

didn’t he totally make some story up, about pulling some lady out of a burning car, after HE hit her, and broke his arm?

a judge can sentence you to anything he wants. a cop i know, pulled some guy over, and went to court. The judge senteced him a $100 fine or something, and the kid goes “man, i can pull that outta my ass”. The judge then asked him “can you pull 3 days in jail, outta your ass?”. And sentenced him to 3 days.

I hope this happens to you. And then you tell him the story about breaking every bone in your body and rescuing an entire family, and a basket of puppies, from their burning house last christmas eve.

91 in a 45 + illegal speed contest (transit @ 2am w/ MrSmith) = 2 pts. $200 fine no school

yeah I think I’m gonna go ahead and say I can stay

<— 107 in a 45 + driving after 9 @ age 16 reduced to red light reduced to parking ticket $100 fine no school

dropping names and getting lucky and catching the cops boss FTW.

thats why i felt for the kid though, if i didnt know someone i would have been in the same/worse situation, and 5 years later ive never gotten in an accident and only got one more ticket, so i dont think he should lose his license and or die in a fire.

i got a 32mph over the limit with 10 points on my liscense about two years ago. got a lawyer. off with 100 parking ticket, no points, no school.

i got pulled over on my bike last year and got charged 5 tickets. no motorcycle liscense, permit expired, no proof of reg, no proof of insurance, and 14mph over. Got my lawyer, off with a 50 dollar parking ticket.

just recently before i sold the jetta, there was a mishap at the dmv and somehow placed my ford taurus VIN on my jetta reg sticker (i guess somewhat my fault too for not checking the sticker) but i got my lawyer and the head of the albany dmv involved. I was facing 6 charges. speeding 15 over, two tint tickets, switched plates, wrong reg, and a felony charge of forgery of VIN numbers. Impounded the car and spent the better half of the night in the OPPD holding center. Got the same lawyer back again and got all the charges dropped except for the speeding and tint, which will be dropped i just have to go to court for them next week, with my lawyer.

the moral of the story is this. if i didnt have a lawyer present with me and handling my case for me, three times in the last two years i would have lost my liscense three times over again. Even with the last one not being my fault (cept speeding and tint) and if i tried to go into court by myself to fight it, with all my paperwork and evidence showing the dmv was at fault, i would still got stuck with these false charges. plain and simple. best advice as many other have said, get a good lawyer and you’ll be able to sleep peacefully about it. Take it from someone who’s been there enough times already.

Best of luck

^ hire this guys lawyer.

well all three situations were in Orchard Park, by the same officer EVERY time believe it or not. Officer Fitzgerald. I think he gets turned on by slappin cuffs on me or somethin. But having the retired Orchard Park town Judge for 32 years as your lawyer > anyone else in that town as far as im concerned.

For the motorcycle incident, i was in and out of the courtroom of more than 100 people in 8 minutes.

For the Jetta incident he did half the shit over the phone. He used to golf with the DA every weekend.

I seriously have it made in OP with him

The best part is Fitzgerald has given me 16 tickets in the course of just under two years, and NOT ONE has stuck to my record yet

Oh yeah i cant believe i didnt mention that, having a lawyer makes you> everyone else in that room and you are in and out. If you go in alone you will be there for hours, count on that.

So I guess it is true about the whole walking fast and getting pulled over thing

its been said for a reason haha

im a marked target in west seneca so i know the feeling shrives. its because ive gotten 19 tickets in 8 months of driving and not one of them stuck. ive never even stepped into the courtroom. my lawyer takes ccare of it all. speedng tint neons exhuast you name it ive gotten it and gotten out of it. ive paid parking fines but thats about it. ill never learn my lesson. let the hating begin…

Man you guys suck at avoiding cops. :stuck_out_tongue:
