New Car Suggestions

Well my mom is lookin for a new car. The old van has served well, but there’s no need for it anymore. Pretty much it’s down to the new Accord, Camry, or VW Passat. The Camry and Passat are a bit pricier with the ESC/traction control options added on. So the Accord is lookin good right now. She’s looking for a nice four door sedan in the $20-$22k range. ESC or traction control (or both) are pretty much a must. So I figured I’d see what everyone here thought about her choices. Any other suggestions?? Not too sure about what kind of warranties are available either. Thanks in advance!

Saturn Aura?

Yeah she wasn’t crazy about the styling on the Aura. Also, for anyone else thinking Chevy or Ford, she’s pretty set on gettin an import. I know, I know, she’s pretty picky about what she wants.

im not sure, but are the maxima or altimas in that price range? those cars are pimp as fuck. if not, accord ftw

camry or honda, having a car that holds value > GM

Accord sounds like a Win!!! Camry are nice too!!

Subaru has a great traction control system :loopie: Legacy all the way

Yeah Maximas are a bit out of the range and she just crossed the Altima off the list because it couldn’t come with ESC or traction control. She did really like it though.

Yeah I love the Legacy, but even base models for those are a bit out of her price range . And I know she’d want something up from the base model. So if she can get a higher end camry or accord, that’s what she’ll do.

may i suggest a camry or accord

Accord > Camry > *.VW

to each his own i guess

My sister just picked up an 07 Jetta last year, excellent so far. So my mom’s giving the Passat a look because it’s bigger.

Gas VWs /= Diesel VWs

you do realize that a base passat starts at 25 right?

Actually more around 23, but if she really loved the Passat, she would spend a little more to get one.

Let’s make this a poll…

Whats the new 08 malibu pricing at? I think 1LT version has Stabiltrak in it, starts around 21,000 for that package I think. http://www.chevrolet.com/malibu/prelaunch/ 24 Grand gets the bigger engine.

I Remember seeing those taking a big “mmmmm ahhhh” from the Camry segment intrest people at the autoshow.
.
For imports, why not have a look at used Suburu’s, if there was an import I would buy, it would be Suburu for some reason :stuck_out_tongue: Some used cars are great!

Yeah I’m tryin to push the Legacy on her. The Impreza would be nice too but she thinks it’s too small. But I can’t blame her being picky, this will be her first ever brand new car.
