the old equipment becomes extinct come January 1st 2013. everything 1997 and older will be a 2 speed idle, everything newer than 1998 will be obd plug in.
all they check is the rear O2 sensor and possibly ur evap system. so as long as the voltage from rear O2 is more than 90 mV (usually or whatever its suppose to be for your car) you should be fine on that part.
Phile I was hearing about this yesterday from riyad and rish from Nissan. Apparently the 97s are not a true OBD2 and are expempt. Idle test only.
That sucks ass for swapped guys.
My SR20 puts out lower emission numbers then my KA24 did. So under a curb idle test my SR20 will pass with flying colours even if its tested as a KA24DE.
That’s not all guys!! Your forgetting that they will take a picture of you then your car then under your hood then your vin number and then make sure vin of the car matches the vin of the engine if not no test gets done, it’s the new work Oder stile e test all pictures get sent in to the mto so even if you pay 1000 you can’t get it too pass as you can’t cheat as they even have 24 hours CCTV camras watching everything the mechanic dose is watched, it’s time to realize the new world Order is comming very soon and step by step it’s going to make life as we know it a living hell and only the suprem ritch will have the good life
Well than that would mean my mom’s 2006 Cavalier is a useless piece of scrap metal since the motor seized and was replaced.
Theirs tons and tons of cars on the road that have had motors replaced due to accidents, seizing, over heating etc etc etc… so saying they can no longer be emissions tested due to not having the original motor is a crock of sh!t.
Lol, they are going to take a picture of me, then my car, then my engine bay, then my vins, then big brother cameras… Whats next? Live telephone agents with the operator doing the etest?
