Why would your 95 not have a cel light when my 92 does?

so 98 and older cars must have a cheek engine light when turning the key, well mine doesn’t after the swap and everyone else i know doesn’t either so i guess were all fucked then right? unless they scrap it but Ontario is the NWO state of Canada so i doubt it, even with the 20 year old car bull shit insurance crap, they are just finding ways to push us out and make us just buy new shit box cars and buy new ones again every 10-15 years. witch not everyone can afford and they know that that’s why there doing this whole gta public transit system thing for the slaves to be able to get around and make money for the elite, while they enjoy Ferrari lambos all the women Private islands in dubi and we can’t even have are little fun with are toy cars.

Why is everything a conspiracy theory? Everyone is saying that it’s gonna get dropped. They can’t do that, they basically can’t make it so people can’t “hot-rod” their cars. They’re not that stupid top piss off that big of a population. They just wanna stop the kids that have twin turbo RB’s and JZ’s that wrap them around poles 'cause they can’t handle the horsepower.

Not sure about the differences between s13 and s14 wiring but my s13/sr20 has all the cluster lights working fine because I’ve wired them all in along with the consult port. Initially when I removed the factory oil pressure sensor for the aftermarket unit that light came on. So I tied it into the proper ecu pin location so it still received a signal and problem solved.

It’s been years now though but I think the CEL wiring goes through the interior harness after the ECU (S13 anyhow). So compare the wiring diagrams/SR20 S14 ECU Pin out to the KA24 S14 ECU Pin out and find the proper wires and hook them up.

And you can’t wrap a v8 around a pole? It has nothing to do with safety, it’s a money grab… the whole premise of e-testing was to help the repair industry get people in the door, so they get inspected, to get repair work, to make money!

Except a funny thing happened, cars just last too damned long and passed e-test too readily, so the industry wasn’t making the money they were sold on by the ministry

Now we’re in a situation where they are trying at least to reduce the cost of having an e-test center by not having to install rollers (a huge cost complaint previously), they also wanted to simplify it so tests couldn’t be “gamed” as easily (or screwed up by ineptitude), yet for the cost cutting, cars are still passing

The new situation with certain cars sowing “not ready” sensors is going to cause them no end of trouble, why would a mechanic spend an hour trying to fix this “error” when he still only gets his same test fee plus the half rate re-test fee? The cost cutting might end up being salt in a wound when test centers have to pay for the sniffer afterall

I say they just drop testing completely. They don’t need the money anyways…

…and then I woke up from the great dream I was having…

I bought the car I have now because it had a valid etest. I bought my last car without etest, and no matter what I changed, it would not pass emissions, and I changed ALOT of stuff. If I was not able to find an f-test, I would have been screwed. wtf is the no limit on repairs when transferring ownership. Scary shit.

I’m surprised there aren’t more guys selling their cars etested, to help out the new owners.

Because most of the 240’s around here are either rotted out and not in a good enough condition to get e-tested, or the ones that can be etested, have had a decent amount of money dropped into them, can pass e-test, but people over value the shit out of them and guys can’t afford them.

if you guys cant afford to get your car fixed to pass etest how do you pay for gas and insurance.

Had that happen to me its a simple solution grab a dealer plate from a shop and take it on the highway for an hour or two problem solved, that only shows up when the ecu has been reset and the car has not been driven much.

lol waht

“We will scan your vehicle and let you know if it is ready to be tested at absolutely no cost to you”

Glorified code scan, takes all of 30 seconds and makes them look like a shop that cares lol.
