I’ve had it up on jack stands numerous times, can’t really figure it out, it seems like it’s not the axles (just rebuilt by Axle Express), but something with the diff, but not the KAAZ unit. Maybe gears? But I had the back lash checked and it was fine. So that leads me to believe the output shafts. The open diff I used to swap the KAAZ into never came with output shafts, I used an old set I had from when I chewed up a gear set with the VLSD.

Excel rebuilt an axel for one of our Napa customers 3 times before they got it right…

Stopped over at Hanks to throw it up on the lift. It seems the amount of play in the differential is minimum but the rebuilt axles have a good amount of play in the outer CV joints. I went to Advance on State St, and bought new ones but then I remembered the thread that was on NICO about how they don’t fit, and they sure don’t :Idiots Going to return them tomorrow and probably look for another set somewhere.

I’ve also got axles… if we can get the diff out we can yank them too. Save for some DSS axles dude. Don’t waste your money on rebuilt/after market crap.

A clutch-type diff will be pretty harsh on axles, so get something more robust.

$550 for a set of 500HP axles, kinda pricey but I’ll keep it in mind.

Considering I’m saving for their Level 5 system that costs $1,700… $550 is a steal. I would suggest the Level 2, 600hp setup as it comes with beefier CV’s as well. The bar upgrade is just that, a new axle shaft.

DSS axles are the way to go if you can wait. i’m going to do them this winter. i like to know i have parts on my car that i will never have to worry about breaking.

Yeah I should put those axles on my list of things to buy. After I get my diff straightened out I really should get a tune. I’ve been running on the Power-FC base map way to long :banghead

I think I’m okay now, I picked up an open diff with no play in the gears and a set of axles that also are tight from YFZ460 tonight. I’ll have to save for some DSS axles though :lol

Managed to get a pin hole leak in a coolant line under my intake manifold this morning. Car started to warm up a bit too, I’m going to have to fix it before I drive it home today. FML
