Alright, Running, Tonight, who’s in? When and where? Let’s do this.
Drew working? John? Dan’s out of town til later this evening, not sure tho. Never been to Delaware park, run the short loop of the rapist trail occasionally, lake’s cool at sunset, wherever. I’m free after typical work hours.
Legs were dragging some, pushed me harder than I expected I could have. Nice smooth 4mi or so w/a push towards the end. Good to run w/your father as well, tell him to knock it off & not hurt his back.
Awesome, looking forward to getting a group run together soon. I picked up the NB Minimus today, it recommends easing them into your running workouts, so I did 1.7 miles (1 lap around my neighborhood), and will slowly increase when I use these shoes. What are your schedules like for this upcoming week?
I went for another run last night. I have been working up to a 5k. I know its not much but im just that far out of shape! lol I got 2miles in last night without having to stop and walk or to stretch out cramps. I can feel it a bit today but over all good
Drew ran a train on me this afternoon. 8.4mi total, walked the last bit to his house to cool down. He said it was around a 9min mile pace overall, but we were cooking the first lap of the park. I was just hanging on, far from pretty but I kept it rolling. May have been a few paces behind, but I was there the whole time.
http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/59695944 almost 11 miles, sub 30 wind chill along the lake after the sun set… few flakes in the air, strong cross winds and headwinds at times.
Sure, 15 sounds good. Stash some water along the way? I did the past few runs dry, and kept forgetting to leave water for myself. The week before I did 8. The weather was a ton nicer, so I had a lot quicker pace. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/58628262
I don’t know that I’ll ever get that high in mileage for a single run, christ. I trained pretty hard for the 2 months leading up to the turkey trot after I decided on a whim I wanted to try to do it. Went from never running more that 15mins on a treadmill for warmup at the gym to running the tro in 49mins with only breaking pace once to catch my breath. Was quite the chore getting myself to break the 3mile barrier when I was training
I seriously hate running so I’m trying to conquer it. I’ve gone from not running at all to running 3 miles in 26 min. I have also lost 21 pounds in the 8 weeks I’ve been trying lol. I’m part of a relay in March and my leg is 6.5 miles. I want to be able to get a good time for that. My longest run so far was 4 miles at one time and 10.5 miles in one day (broken up 2.5 in the morning, 5.5 at lunch and 2.5 that night…my nipples were sore). So I need to develop a plan to hit 6.5miles by March in say 60 min or less. That should be a good goal right?
Started back up last couple weeks, went to Fleet Feet to grab some winter gear (50% off). I’m shooting for the 1/2 Marathon this year (FML) so I’ll be starting longer 6-7mi runs soon. Tomorrow is a 5mi run and will be my longest run EVA!
