ran .5 of a mile…first time running since last fall… my shins felt like they were going to fucking explode. god damnit

I’d be down for some running in addition to riding. I’m already registered for the Quakerman Tri in June so I need to get my ass in gear quickly.

I did not run nearly as much as I would have liked this winter. In for running!

Ran 7mi today at Niawanda Park. Was pulling 12min/mi (Blahhh), but to my defense I ran the first 4 into some pretty nasty wind. In for a group run, if you don’t mind a slow runner.

probably broke my 4th toe today moving a table…not sure how much it will impact my running… probably can just run through it

I ended up running my 6.55 mile leg in 55 minutes. Not too bad for a fat kid. I’m going to try to stay with it and do 13.

I don’t always run fast, but when I do, I’m chasing Andrew…

HAHAHAHAHA I like to keep ya on your toes. I have hardly ran all winter. I would be in for some relaxing runs as always.

Thursday work for anyone? My wife’s out of the casa til 9, daylight savings should have it light til almost 8, along Furman Blvd white people or those not running FROM the cops are left alone by the NFTA police after dark so you can run under the lights til whenever. I’ve done damn near overnight runs without issues.

That’s my 5mi run day, so works for me. I’m usually home from work around 4-4:30. I’m not a fast runner for distance.

How long and what pace are you guys running these days? I need to get back into the swing of things.

Here’s one I did the other day, shorter run, I’ve been off my feet for a while and it was windy as hell, and cold.
MapMyRide 6.81 quickie, I was beat.

You can go all the way up to the lighthouse, and push it over 12-13 if you double back in a few places I cut short. I’ve done almost 13, but phone died, and I lost it. Razr maxx has much mas battery available for Pandora and GPS tracking.

I’m usually around 5.5mph by myself, with Drew… many moar. He towed me around Delaware faster than I could have imagined myself going. I don’t push too hard when I’m by myself running usually. I’m stronger than I know, I just want to avoid injury and always run conservative.

Comfort first, speed comes as a result. :tup:

Let me know if you gents get out for a run again. I’m re-starting my training with a brief 3 miler tonight.

Looks like I’m averaging no less that 5mi/hr on runs. 3mi runs I can probably get the between 5.5 and 6.5. With the long runs I’m doing now, I’m hoping the couple 5ks I’m signed up to do and the corporate challenge should be cake walk and get my times under 30min.

What time Thursday looks good for everyone? Furman blvd cool? Fresh asphalt paths, lots of options for how far to go.

I’ll have to join you guys soon. I push 2 miles on a tread mill at the gym but I’m dying at the end, plus it’s super boring. With the weather changing we shall see how I do out doors.

I don’t know about Thursday for sure. Just moved to the new house this past weekend and already in the middle of a huge DIY project. Want to finish it Thursday.

Paulo speed is relative to distance obv but when I feel like running hard my times are around
6-7min mi for 2-3mi
7-8min mi for 5
I can hold an 8-830 through a half marathon
My full marathon pace is around 9-930

However I dont really enjoy running hard anymore(see lazy) so I usually just cruise between 830-930 no matter the distance really.
