did 8+ sunday, taught Spinning monday AM, running a friend’s business today, running a short one tonight with wifey. Lifting Wednesday & Thursday AM, running Thursday with Prog, not sure where or with anyone else. He’s planning for a short quick ~4mi, anyone else game? Two laps round Delaware, or Furman Blvd, I’m free til ~9pm.

Saw that friday when wife and I went to the Zoo… it was looking pretty sketchy, 75% of the crowd should have been attending school.
Today? It’s cold, many miles, pack nutrition? Buy a bottle of water along the road? When you out of work? I’m sick of case studies. Going DT to Spot for Micro/Macro study buddy @ 7, I can postpone that if you want to run until dark. My neck is fuct, but it doesn’t hurt to run, just everything else including riding the bike & lifting weights. Teaching Spinning off the bike next week, so f-it. 15 today?

How many of you guys breathe through your mouths while running, as opposed to breathing through your nose?
Just curious.
I found myself struggling after 2-3 miles but noticed I was literally gasping for air through my mouth. The next day I attempted the same run with nose running and it made a huge difference. No more chest pain or cramps.
When I’m running with Zac or Drew I’m usually breathing hard through the mouth. I’ve also heard in through the nose, out through the mouth. Never really had chest pains with breathing. Maybe you want to tone down the pace?

Quicker than I expected honestly, I was sucking wind, cock and balls at the end. My legs are smoked, I was getting shooting pain down my left arm and elbow from my neck being so screwed up as fatigue really set it’s teeth in me.
@Motocross; Breathing typically begins to change from comfortable through your nose to split mounth/nose between 75-85% max heart rate depending on your fitness/economy, full mouth at about 90+/-%. Is this law? no. Is it a good gauge for periodization and perceived exertion without a HRM wrapped around your chest? yes. Is heart rate law? again, no. Since you cannot use a strain gauge or somehow to measure actual “work” while running like on a bicycle, it’s all you got. Since you’re starting out, your fitness at the running movement is low, not your overall fitness persay, but at that movement through that range of motion. Also, since your muscle memory is poor, your economy is going to be low. It’s taking you much more effort to run than someone with more miles under their belt and improved fitness at that range of motion.
I’m going to sneak in a few brisk shorter ones, teaching spinning @ 5am monday, should be lifting again by next week with my neck. Want to plow out some big jams one day next week again?
15-17? shit, stepping up! i gotta hop back in sometime, i was out for a bit with a high ankle sprain, probably only going to do the Half this time, any big plans for you guys?
