Week before the marathon in Rochester. Hmmm let me ponder on it but it is a strong possibility. When do you want to go for a ride? I have been swimming a bunch and each session is a marked improvement since I had not really been in a pool for 15 years. I would like to work on my bike speed but don’t like to bike too far alone just incase something goes wrong.
To both you and prog. Go get real running shorts with liners. You can even borrow some of my short shorts to try it out. Sooooooooooo much more comfortable. Shit I might just start running in a speedo.
Same ones I showed you the other day, minimalists. I’m going to pick up a pair of the Nike Lunarglides if I ever get time. Wed I have work then Karate. Let me know what time it’s at.
I actually really gave a poor effort. This short stuff is way out of my element and somewhat frustrating. Was starting too slow. Now starting too fast. Then when I am not happy with the time after 2.5ish I give a poor finish. Always next time!
Tsi that is sweet. When I start too fast I get winded and can’t recover or hold the pace. I think I still could have pulled it off too with some more heart in it. I deff got frustrtated and stopped pushing. I can’t complain though since I think I still did like a 7:40ish pace and that is decent for me. But I know I can do ~7:30!!! I only do one speed day a week in my training now so I will see next week if I can do better.
Currently my training schedule weekly is roughly
1x speed run
1x distance run
1x recovery run distance pace
2x swimming(1 pool 1 open water ideally)
1x Core and strength workout
This one looks pretty good and gives me time to start running again.

I just went for a swim. Which wasn’t great. Could not get a groove going and actually cut the swim short. WTF. I think I need lessons. Paddled around about 45min
Then jammed a 6mi run @ 8:43 pace right after. Running after swimming is kinda hard for a few miles at first.
