You know nothing about brakes do you? I laugh at people who think their rotors are getting warped from street driving. They’re not warped, they are just pad deposits on the rotor nine times out of ten.
Cross drilled rotors are absolutely useless. Even on full race cars. 99% of the supercars or “exotics” you see with them are just to look cool. Go take a look at the brake rotors on some legit race cars. OMG they’re blanks!!! They’re going to warp without all that fancy cooling!!! No. They’re far more durable than drilled/slotted and they also don’t eat pads. If race cars don’t use them for their “spirited” driving, you don’t need them for your “spirited” street driving. Period.

How do you clean the deposit off the rotors?

Some recommend hard braking. Not no pussy shit either. If I recall, most deposits occur when people are getting off a highway and apply brakes the entire off ramp until they come to a complete stop and the brakes are still applied. Don’t quote me on that though. I used to think I warped rotors and such too, but once I got into tracking, I haven’t had any sort of shake whatsoever when brakes are applied. I keep my rotors clean… And sometimes cracked.

Hmm for the most part I never brake hard all the way to a stop, always lift. It makes sense though because sometimes it feels my brakes are warped but than it goes away.

Getting back into E-Cigs, I’ve found myself smoking way to much again and when I used these for about 4-5 months straight last year I weiend myself off the nicotine completely and it was just the smoking fixation.

Instead of getting the little pen looking guys I went for something serious with a big battery and better atomizers. It’s not as discreet as some of the other ones and my old one, but its one of the better ones you can get aside from some monstrous fuckin things

I remember a few guys mentioning these things a few months ago wondering how the worked, if your interested let me know, never buy one from a store locally you’ll pay 2-3x the actual price you can get from a e-cig company and your just paying for some rebranded/painted BS, or BS proprietary ones that charge to much for liquids/cartridges

Who gives a crap? Whether or not my rotors are actually warped is only PART of the reason why I’m getting new brakes. I’ve obviously learned a bit here as to what ‘warping’ tends to really be, which I didn’t know before. All I know is I have a shimmy right now when braking. AND…

The fact that they SUCK and need to be upgraded is the main concern/reason for getting/trying this set which other M guys recommend. Infiniti failed miserably with the 06-10 M brake capabilities for this size car. The G has good brakes. The M? No.

Let’s relax and go buy some parts for your BMW and post in here and get off my back about what brakes I choose to buy. If I spend $180 on a set that just so happens to be drilled and slotted but performs better than OEM…whether or not I actually need them or whether or not it actually looks good…I’ll buy them again and again. Who gives a crap about the rest of it? It’s not like I just shelled out 1.5k for a BBK which I don’t need because I’m not auto-x’ing etc. Seriously…what’s the big deal?

Damn.

DAMN.

Perfect response. I’ll meet you at Funplex. I’ll be the one on the back of PJB’s quad with him driving.

Because me having a BMW has ANYTHING to do with this? Sounds like someone got their panties in a bunch because someone was trying to educate them. The OEM rotors would have been more capable whether you or your buddies think so or not. It’s pads that make the biggest difference. Due to your new rotors, you’ll just be eating through pads quicker. I don’t think anyone on this forum needs a BBK unless it’s a full race car. There’s no big deal, you’re just making it out to be one by attempting to justify your need for your drilled/slotted rotors by talking about your spirited driving or how they don’t warp like the OEM rotors and such. At least do some research on them, and don’t just follow the boy scouts over on your M forums. About the only real benefits of a slotted or drilled rotor is (this can also be a disadvantage) the increased pad wear because the pad surface is being ‘refreshed’ (cleaned) when the brakes are applied.
