it is for the 2500/3500 trucks. damn those vans are wierd!!! in the trucks the last yr of the lly was early 06. the 06 was the only yr they had the same internals as the lbz but different tuning. before 06 it was a completely diff motor. damn i wonder why they didnt go to the lbz in the vans.
They detuned the vans even further from the standard LLY because of 2 things 1) it didn’t need that much power due to being lighter. 2)warranty purposes, it uses the 4L85e transmission

Yea, they stopped putting them in the trucks (here at least) but the motor was still made and put in some vehicles (like the Express).
lol Just saw this. So I havent touched my buggy in a while but I have a 17t brushed motor still in it currently, and the brushless Novak setup I have is 10.5t/4200kv… I dont have any lipos tho, I only have 3300nimh batterys. If I get the damn ambition I will get it setup at some point. How much did the lipos and charger run you, if you dont mind my asking? Also was your slash a 4wd one?

I only buy batts @ hobbyking.com, they have a US warehouse. The batts were ~$24 each and the charger was ~$36 and does a max of 7A and will charge any type of battery including LiPo up to 8s. Yea, mine is 4WD. I ripped a wheel hex, then later exploded a rim yesterday jumping logs. With the new setup it will do rolling wheelies when punching at over 40 mph. :lol Get your shit running, if you want you can try my batts out. I need more people to bash with.
