Granted there are good cops out there…But when I see a cop sitting in the median of a highway doing radar…it pisses me off because he should be out patroling bad parts of town that cause more problems…like drug dealer and gangs ect.
Yes speeding is agianst the law but… doing 15 over on the thruway is not going to kill someone.

thats a bad point because every law they enforce isnt to serve us. there would be way too many grey areas as well as injured personel as a result. perfect example is tint. not only does tint make it dangerous when you are driving at night…but for cops approaching your vehicle to make a “routine stop” if they cant see in the car, they cant see potential threats. so there has to be a law to protect them…not just to serve US.

As for the loud bikes, it’s a perfect example of what getting organized can do for your cause. The bike associations are very organized, and very vocal, which is why they can actually convince people that “loud pipes save lives”. Nevermind the fact that you only hear loud pipes once the bike has gone past and it does nothing for the biker you’re about to pull out in front of.
It’s also a numbers thing. How many bikes are there on the road compared to cars? Probably 50% of them are loud. Now imagine if 50% of the cars on the road had loud exhausts and were allowed to by law. You’d need to wear earplugs at night to go bed unless you lived way out in the woods.

Here is an example of someone who knows very little. The whole 15 over thing is a joke. 15 over WILL KILL SOMEONE on the thruway. I don’t know what logic you had here but 70 in a 55 or 80 in a 65 can easily kill someone. Maybe you missed all the rants on here about people getting cut off and such. Lets see someone get cut off doing 15 over and get in a wreck, they would be really hurt. There are lazy cops everywhere but also lackluster workers in all professions so enough whining. The bad cop to good cop ratio… the guy is a bad cop because he gives you a ticket or sits and runs radar?? OH NO. They call them patrolmen for a reason. So what if a trooper sits on the highway… it’s his/her job.
They are here to serve us, but you have a real twisted view. Patrol “bad neighborhoods”?? Theres something wrong in every single neighborhood. DO yourself a favor and do a ride along in C district downtown. Ask the officer to run some plates that are at the local drug houses. They all come back suburbs. They buy in the city and distribute in suburbia. Maybe you didnt hear about the FBI bust 2 years ago that happened in Hamburg. 22 people were involved in a drug ring for the area.
Donuts and coffee are perks, they don’t ask for them people give them.
To each their own on weather it should happen or not. They are not lazy because they stop and get a coffee. They deal with stuff and can’t tell/don’t want to tell family members. They also have the highest suicide rate for a profession. Only time you ever run into a cop I imagine is when s/he is pulling you over. Try meeting them on other circumstances and maybe you will learn something.

a friend of mine whose father is an officer pulled me over for speeding once (when i wasnt) WHEN I WAS PULLING into my driveway, realized who i was and we had a nice conversation about how this certain areas police pull me over because they talk to each other about what cars to pull over. mine just so happens to be on that list.
