I love them both, haha. I have had just as many problems with my 240 as I have had with my rx7. If you take care of the 7 and make sure that the tuning is good, then it will love you back. The rb20det will probably make more power for a lot cheaper though.

Oh when did I say the SR20 couldnt? Read mofo. I said earlier in this thread that the SR20 can make over 500whp. But you obviously dont know enough to know that the RB20 can make more than the SR20. The RB20 is about 130 lb heavier than an SR20, but the block is iron and there are 6 pistons just as strong if not stronger than the SR20’s. Also, if you knew anything about this you would realize the RB20 clip is cheaper than the Red top SR20DET. This has been covered in the 240 forums and SR20 forums to the point they are tired of hearing about it. So I am an idiot for stating facts. You were the one just being a smartass. Sounds like you need to take your own advice.

Yeah, an RB20 clip can be found for around $1000. It comes with the T3 flanged manifold so buy a bigger turbo, injectors, and get some engine management then you can hit some much larger numbers.

its not that i didnt know those useless facts, its just that i really dont care. the rb is a waste IMO. people who do it only do it because they think there ā€œdifferentā€ and want to try and shy away from the SR craze. but either way, when you get ur rb swap done bring it out, i’ll gladly hand you your ass with little knowledge i have about cars and what that knowledge has built. and i also stick to my guns…

a stock 5.0 from 87 to 92 can clearly hold up to 500hp. now above that without a girdle will split down the webbings. its been done many times. stangs stock had 225 and 300 torque. a 2.0 six banger has to have pistons the size of bike pistons if that.

been done a few times. the bottom end of a a 03/04 cobra has to be one of the strongest bottoms around.
