rb or 13b?

many use 4/5/6/7 main.

ford uses a 2 bolt main to handle 500 rwhp. well stock fuel pump 88 lph SBF cant handle that, upgrade of course :kekegay:
( on many 302 / 351 )
:owned:

look at venom, blew up his 500+ hp 2 bolt main STOCK BLOCK

drove around countless miles, then went to track and went booooom on a
t-5 manual which didnt explode.<--------- that is suprisingley on a 310tq max tranny

Cobra uses an 8 bolt main

do i own a cobra ?

man i gotta defend the overhyped 5.0L
leave your SVT outta this

5.0 was king till the early-mid 90s

sure was, i am old enough now to own a FEW

( others will say OWNED a few too ) but ohwell, got what i like…

wow all at the cost of being different…you are an idiot. why buy a motor with very few US counterparts and if that isn’t enough harder to get specialty parts for as well as having shit for aftermarket…lemme run out a buy a 240 so I can get a RB20DET.

how many 500HP RB20’s are there out there? now how many 500whp SR’s? I think that answers your questions and proves you are a ass. you want to go cheap and be different when in the end it will cost you nothing but headaches and more money

because its hand assemble with better parts, cant really count it! :hs:

Man, go do some research. There are tons of high HP RB’s in Japan. It is a new swap for here so not as overdone. Also, several of the RB25 and 26 parts will fit the RB20 since they are pretty identical. What do you want, a bolt on kit. Lets see… other than internals, heads, gaskets, and manifolds, what is not universal. The injectors are not unique. JWT even has an ecu for it. Instead of just saying shit, do some research. Even the most experienced SR20 guys can tell you which would make more power. I will have $3500 in my swap and performance parts when all is done. This should get us into the 400whp levels. There is no way I could do that with my sr20. Its not like I hate the SR20, because I do own one. I have researched alot of options with help from some people that have been working with Nissan engines for 10+ years. There was no better option.

The RB26 can make it to 1000 on a stock bottom end. Ford = unimpressive. If I was ever gonna go to the darkside it would be for an LS1 equipped car. Oh yeah, we do free automotive engineering for GM down here right now. Ford sponsored us last year but I hate working on their stupid explorer.

yes it is, too bad it doesnt apply here. since you obviously have no idea on what i know i just suggest u shut up.

there is always something in the works…

I said US counter parts…go to a nissan dealer and ask them for main bearings for a RB20DET and see if they look at you like you are a retard, wait they look at you that way anyway…

where the LS1 is a great car, it cannot support that kindve power without major upgrades.

I think youre being blinded by brand loyalty, but Ford hit a homerun with the new dohc 4.6

Funny, yeah, they look at me like a retard. What are you, 12? Immature assholes on this board that have never read up on what they are talking about. Thus the reason I dont come on here very often. You all fight amongst yourselves all the time. Why the hell would I buy anything from Nissan anyways? Do you go to your local Integra dealer everytime something is wrong. I have contacts in about 3 shops in the US that can get me any RB part I need. If you want cheap dealer parts, you may want to just stick with GM and Ford. Hell, they will rape you on new parts too. Use some intelligence and maybe a little maturity.

What do you know, since you have given very little as far as informative comments. I already know how little you know about the RB20.

I havent heard very many good things about the 2004 4.6L, but was there an improvement in 2005? I have to have brand loyalty somewhat since they are sponsoring us with 2 free cars and $30000 funding.

big diff, between the sohc and the dohc.

but yes in 05 the sohc went over some major changes… such as 3v instead of 2v, and vvt was introduced

but the 03/04 dohc 4.6 was one of the best engines ever made… it actually will out perform the 2jzgte

Ford parts expensive

I would have to go with the rb. I hear that the kanuder valves can handle up to 1 million hp.

I found this quote from another site

you mean to tell me that you haven’t heard of the new Ford SVT high performance Taurus Station Wagon with the supercharged lightning engine, 150 hp shot of NOS, Tremec TKO tranny and centerforce clutch, titanium kanuder valves, and no-slip muffler bearings? Man, those things are wicked fast!!
