I most definitely made you aware of all the issues Steve. I told you via text it needed work and I told everything to you in person. Maybe you werent paying attention or forgot. Evidence of either scenario was when you texted me Sat. asking how to open the hood. I remember specifically showing you how to open the hood when I got back from the spin around the block on the bike. I’d post the texts from my iPhone but the top button isn’t working right now. I told Ryan he could meet up with me and read them for himself. I don’t think you intentionally screwed anyone. However, I do think you need to look at things better before you sell them to people. You described the bike as mint and maintained, it was not. You bought a car that you were told needed work and agreed that the bike and car were each worth $2000 yet you were asking $3200 without even addressing the issues. Im annoyed i even had to get dragged into this. You both have my number.
Dun dun dunnnnnnnnn.
EDIT - what happened to the popcorn emoticon!?
i am fully aware that i asked you how to open the hood. we agreed that the bike and the car were worth about the same, i also know that we agreed that the car needed some work. all of this i am aware of and passed it on to him. however we never agreed to a price as that wasnt relevant and has nothing to do with this situation. and when it came to the bike i passed any questions on to my dad as it was his and i didnt know much about it past what i told you. i posted the car up for that price because its exactly what i posted the bike up for sale when i did. i knew i wouldnt get that and i was more than fine with it as it did need work. i wish i did save some of the texts or could post what you said, because i specifically recall you saying the car “needs balljoints and its good to go”. regardless im not here to bash you in any way nor the buyer.
however when it comes to the issues of this car i knew about the problems it had cosmetically and the ball joints, i was not made aware of the struts nor the sunroof leak. i even asked the two witnesses that were there when you came over. IF i was wrong in this situation and i just flat out forgot i would gladly admit it. however i didnt and wasnt. im sorry for you getting dragged into this and im sorry to the buyer but i handled everything to the best of my knowledge.
 to the situation
 to dirty
I hate seeing a member get screwed over, and I think the seller should do something to make it right. Otherwise, it would appear that all the other members who posted horror stories would be correct in their assumptions.
Willy, if he didn’t know there was anything wrong why “should” he be obligated to “make it right?”
^I dont buy it. Based on the fact that it was disclosed before.
If he was truly naive to the problems, then I’d agree.
Like I said, I doubt the only problem he thought the car had was balljoints. Not a leaky sunroof, needs brakes all around, struts, ball joints, etc…
Just saying…
There’s really no way to make you believe that but I don’t really care. You can ask anyone that I talked about this car about before I even decided to sell it and when I was planning on driving it. The only thing I was going to fix was the ball joints and tires. Why would I plan on that when I “knew” about everything else? Its because I didn’t. Even though I don’t need to do anything id be more than happy to “make it right” with the buyer. I don’t Know what that would include but like I said earlier he NEVER contacted me about this. He just went right to the Internet. I never had a chance to help even though I don’t need to. But I would. Anyone on here that actually “knows” me would vouch for me.
I trust in steve
Why did you even aquire the bmw for it to just sit in the driveway and not touch it?
So better question for ieatpaint you going to fix the car or let it sit and get moldy or claim flood damage
be careful he WILL headbutt you, but only from a 60mph roll.
you should do that to your dsm
i do remember steve texting me saying all the car needed was balljoints and tires and it would be good for winter. this is when he first got it, but he hadn’t driven it at all. at this point he also didnt have the intention of selling it.
that is all the input i have on this situation
I’m not going to state my opinion on gennaro, like I said, I’d make a bash people thread and bitch about people as far as dsm jokes they are getting older
dsms are about as cool as fucking a dude
Coolstorybro I wasn’t talking about my car? And you would kno about fucking dudes in your old dsm, I absolutely love how people mention my car in every god damn post and I didn’t even fucking say anything about it
meh . its in your sig and your avatar. it’s mentioned in every post even if you dont write it lol
This is such a boner killer. I trust this place more than Craigslist. Shit like this bums me out. Anyone who says its expected is wrong. Seriously. What happened to honesty? He also tried to tell me to buy this car. Had I come up with the money, id freak the fuck out.
this is a car forum whats wrong with having that crap in my siq and avatar? and were suppose to be talking about steve not my rustbucket shitacular talon
edit: i do aggre with dawn that would suck big donkey balls
I’ve known Steve for a while and Ryan foreven longer. Both really good dudes in my book that I would buy from and sell to with out worry. I hate to hear stuff like this happening. I do believe that Steve disclosed everything he knew about the car to Ryan. I would hate to think otherwise as Ryan is a super good dude that would have respected full disclosure of any and all known issues with the BMW and still have bought the car at the right price. Hope this situation gets resolved and all involved parties reputations are brought back to good standing if deserving. Sounds like a misunderstanding and a lot of misinformation for all parties involved.
