I agree. Always buyer beware.
But, if someone has a history of sales like this it’s good knowledge to have in regard to said party.

There’s a difference between what a seller must do legally and what they should do morally. If you know of issues and choose to rip somebody off by not disclosing that’s your prerogative and may be legal but certainly isn’t moral.
Now…if it’s a total stranger and it won’t come back to bite you in the ass, perhaps you make a judgment call to just be shady and go for it. If you’re active in a community (online or real life) and you rip somebody off in that community, you’re shooting yourself in the foot and gaining some bad mojo.
What we see here seems to be a shot foot and bad mojo. I’m surprised at the past buyers coming out now and speaking up. If someone rips me off I make sure to get the word out ASAP and post feedback as well. Steve has 0 feedback which is shocking, given the past sales gone sour (according to info posted in the thread). Actions speak louder than words and at times saying nothing is itself a telling action.

wow had no idea that this was even made. if you had all these problems why on earth didnt you just call me? you never once contacted me about any issues you had. and to be honest i had NO clue these issues were even there. I got the car from dirrtye30 and it literally sat in my driveway since. i never went through the whole car for any problems. i just went off of what he told me. and all that he told me was what i saw and that the ball joints were done. He NEVER said anything about the struts etc. Brian thats bs to come at me with you went over everything so great because you were there for 10 min with a test drive. either way i dont care because its always buyer beware, but i was as honest with you about the car as i possibly could be. i didnt have much knowledge about it and i told you everything i could
im always extremely honest when it comes to selling anything i ever have. if i know ill tell you if not ill say i have no clue. the issues brian helped me fix were a tail light and window switch. there was never anything said about the sunroof leaking etc. im really sorry you felt this way but you couldve gladly called me instead of running to the internet to bash me about it. i had no clue you were this upset period, i thought all went well and it was a done deal
i had absolutely nothing to hide, but for the most part with this car i was in the complete dark just as you were. i just assumed it was a 1993 and when it came time for me to drive it thru the winter there were going to be issues i would have to deal with. the fact that some members on here are bashing me when they dont know what they are talking about is complete bullshit too. sorry but i cant control what i didnt know. i told you what i knew, and that wasnt much. its not like i was charging you top dollar, i accepted your offer because i figured you could put it towards the interior, ball joints. but no clue about the sunroof or 4 blown struts. if i knew that i wouldve told you and NEVER even thought about letting you attempt to drive it home.

i honestly have no idea what hes told you, but what i just said in the post above is what i know and my response. we briefly talked about the car. he drove me in it around my neighborhood and that was it. i knew about the ball joints and obvious exterior and interior stuff. he told me it was going to be a project, i assumed it was because of what i saw and was told. i didnt know about what youve described otherwise i wouldve told you. the car never moved and i NEVER drove it so i would have no way of knowing these issues. only thing i can say is i cleaned the interior best as i could the day before you came and the carpet was just fine because i vacuumed it. like i said Im not shady and im sure as hell not looking to kill somebody over a few dollars.

You told me he was your friend. He told me you knew about all of the issues with the car. He was the one who told me about the shocks and where the water was coming from and that you were well aware of it because he went over all of the issues with the car when you bought it. Seems pretty cut and dry to me, I can’t believe someone you called your friend would lie about it. That just doesn’t add up or make any sense. I’ll eat my fucking hat if he’s lying about it, that’s unbelievably fucked up if he is. The texts he has will clear it all up though, so I’ll wait for them.
