So far the word “rice” or variation of “rice” with the addiation of this very post appears 41 times including the title of the thread only once.
and your point is?
Just thought I would throw a factoid about the thread out there.
just wanted to whore himself out that much more!!! lol
regardless…the term at hand can be taken so many different ways. what it all comes down to is that its your car, your time, your money. build the car the way you want it to look and be happy with it. fugg what others thing and what others say
true dat. if someone wants to ruin a perfectly good car by putting a wing that gives more downforce by it weight than by the air going over it let em, after all it not your car.
And now I got to be a whore?
ur a good lil whore. everyones taste is different, noones is the same, nor are they wallets. cuz u cant afford the expensive shit and have to buy the knock off parts doesnt make u a ricer either
IMO rice is defined by “Flow” or some people refer to it as “clean”
If a car has a body kit, new paintjob, aftermarket wheels, but everything blends in well together and the car looks like it could have came from the factory like that to a person that dosn’t know about that car, then IMO it can’t be rice, no matter what camber or widebody the car has as long as it flows.
But you can put just one functional part on the car, that would make it stand out and break up the smootheness and be a ricer.
Here are some things that ruin the flow, and hence why they are considered rice
Neons
Graphics
Big Spoilers
Agressive body kits
oversized rims
crazy paintjobs
ugly lights (tails or headlights)
single wipers, etc
No im sorry rice IS body kits, oversized spoilers and slow cars. If you dont have the money to do it right, then dont do anything at all, otherwise you bring it on yourself. And the only people who complain about how the cars beauty is in the eye of the beholder is the person who cant afford to do anything. If you buy a civic and put rims on it and a intake. Sorry guys, your rice. If you buy a civic, put clean wheels, a turbo kit and FUNCTIONAL body parts on it, then you are not rice. Camber does not have anything to do with rice, it can it many instances help your handling. If you know what your talking about…and I know there will be plenty more flaming on this post but it is how it is…dont make up excuses, if you drive rice, except the fact, know your rice, to a lot of people rice is a good thing and they hang out with other rice but please do not try to twist around to the point to make yourself feel better, live with it…I really hope this forum dosent turn into another rice fest
I wouldn’t worry about it considering most staff members have newer stockish cars 4ADAM12, Cossey, That Guy, and Kicklow has one of the cleanest cars in the area hands down.
Plus there is no rice for bikes
good
i’ll slap a huge bodykit, huge non functional spoiler, and steel rims on my civic…then race you and see if im still considered rice? deal? ;D
I wouldnt want you to ruin a car like that…no deal :
Hey, u can say what ever you want. I just gave you my opinion of rice. If your camber is not actually tuned in but was left like that when u dropped the car I think its rice.
Every single person has a different meaning for rice, some people have neons with full ugly bodykit and 4’ tall spoiler and don’t think they are rice. So don’t be hating on me for giving you my point of view.
please dont your civic looks pretty clean the way it is now
Yeah don’t do that, your car is nice the way it is, and it’s a sleeper. Me likey sleepers.
I’m still debating which is worse: fake rice (i.e. emblems that don’t belong on your car, obnoxious crap, etc) or only to the trained eye rice.
About 2 weeks ago, as I was walking out of the local Wal-Mart, there was a really nice looking evo 9 parked next to me. First thing I noticed was the drool worthy FMIC. My bf and I continued to look the car over in awe and it was then that he looked through the hood louvre…
“There’s no turbo!” Sure enough, no turbo in sight. The FMIC wasn’t connected to anything, it was just there. They even went as far as to weld a Tial BOV to the Injen CAI. There you go folks. A run of the mill Lancer all done up to look like an Evo. Worse part is, a lot of people probably wouldn’t of noticed the difference without close inspection. I have pics of it on my cell phone.
Man, I didn’t know if I wanted to cry at the gheyness or throw my groceries all over the car.
BTW-I have a “rice citation” .jpg on my comp for printing. I’ve left quite a few of them with loud and proud cars
i hope to god that for some reason he had to take the turbo out, thats rediculous spending that kind of money on an fmic and a bov and not even have a turbo
are christmas tree lights ducktaped to the underside of a rusty 1990 Honda accord Rice?
