i agree with this. but that applies to basically anything. if u spent the money and did your sound system right(not just loud and obnoxious and sounding like farts thru blown speakers) its not rice. sound quality trophies speak for themselves. its kind of a to each their own. to me, 6 bazillionhp does nothing, you cant open it up cuz cops are everywhere and some of those cars u cant use as daily drivers. sound is good when im sittin in traffic on my way to work. im an audiophile so i love it. some ppl want that TV thats the biggest, some want that cmputer thats the fastest, i want my audio at its cleanest and best sounding point.
rice is a car with 4 diffrent body panel colors and a wing that looks like it come off a superbird.
these days lets face it alot of cars includeing my stang come out of the factory with non functional body parts like hood scoops and rear tire vents. Sure they look nice and add to the car but their fucking worthless, as far as cold air intakes, and fart cans/glaspacks my personal opinion is that those are things you do first because it makes no sense to just take a stock car and drop a turbo or a twinscrew on it when your going to have to do the fuel and air system, gears and suspention anyway and some of us cant aford to do everything at once. FOR example i droped 6 grand into my car on the best aftermarket parts i could find so that when i finaly do have another 6 grand to spend i can do the injectors and the turbo, ill probly do the suspention and and transmission first so it may be quite a while before i see the turbo.
if somone rolls up next to me in a honda civic with a huge wing and a cold air intake ok hes rice…simply because of the wing. a standerd spoiler will do fine just look at the tiny plastic bump on the vette or the liped deck on the 3rd gen camaros. anyway i wont knock somone over a paint job or rims. I dont care if its a honda or a corvette, everyone has their own opinion on what rice is. I like to think putting neon lights from kmart in your car and a hood embelum on any car or one of them stick shifters that light up lol would be considerd rice…as far as rims go as long as their not wally world specials i cant see the problem with a new set of rims some people are just into looks and others are into functionality. but to call somones car rice when they spent 4 or 10 grand on a paintjob because they wanted to repaint it is just gay. just like if somone takes a car and throws 7 grand into a sterieo system hey thats their choice…i personaly could care less but IF YOUR spending 7 grand on a sterieo dont buy a fucking monster wing to put on the car…lol but thats just me… im more of a functionality type of guy and for me the stock system works just fine. anyway thats my two cents
