Tops 3 years old, it will be coming off to replace the rear window with a tinted vinyl after the interiors 95% or more.

I think with all the effort you have put in you should just say fuck it and buy the wheels you’ve always wanted.
I don’t recall what I was going to do with my wheels or what I wanted really
I get bored really easy if scenario’s don’t get changed up often. My eyes are open for some nice deep dish wheels in 18x11 or wider for the rear and something less aggressive upfront.
Other ongoing projects are distracting me away from my own…I prefer getting paid than doing it for myself

Relocated the battery with 0/1 gauge welders cable. Made a battery tray out of some L bracket aluminum and some thick steel flat bar for the anchor tie towns.
Not quite ready to pull off a wire tuck…but i spent a lot of time cleaning up the wiring. There are 3x HID kits, 3000k fogs, 8000k headlights, 4300K high beam. I have to get the engine bay painted after I leave the motor alone

My lights came in the mail I had to install them tonight! They fit flush against the bottom of the skirt and wire into my door switch when the doors open they come on.
S14 cluster brazel fit to s13 coupe cluster, adding some piping around the edge to match the door panels.
Steel belt holders wrapped with a soft carpet material
Finished both rear side panels. I think ill be going with S14 kouki seats in the future, the top frame needs lots of TLC as well as replacing the headliner.
Big heavy plans for the trunk! Will likely need a beefed up alternator very soon.

Only thing stopin the look really is the hardware for the droptop. Looks outdated compared to the rest. Just my opinion.

When i take off the top to replace the rear window ill be cleaning up the framing as well as replacing the headliner
I also revisited the center console…well worth it.
looks nice but it seems to be recessed pretty heavily near the top of the head unit. Looks like a big drop off from here (could be just the angle).
Also, what are the switches underneath the head unit for?

The old one was padded but i prefer it recessed, gives some depth to the dash and finishes cleaner tucking behind the vent piece above rather than sitting up against it.
I did this today before work, funny you ask.
From left to right: Exhaust cutout, airbag motor up and down, power for gauges, exterior puddle lights and lastly a switched ground to run video while driving. Clarion has to see a switched ground, cant just be grounded like pioneers.
2 AM? bro work sucks if you are up that early. I assume those puddle lights are just 12v led’s in chain? They turn on when the door is opened? or when the doors are unlocked with a remote?
you ever seen the modifications people do where they drill a hole up in the door handle area and illuminate the hands devo ?

Today the carpet was going smooth until I tried getting in the trunk. I had to pull up the carpet that I just glued down to find a plastic bracket beside the drivers seat broken. I made a metal one only to have the cable snap an hour later from everything being firmed up…*sigh…
I’m looking to replace it urgently if anyone has one they would be willing to let go, any year between 89-98 will work.
Might be able to get away with a bicycle brake cable if you can’t find one. Pretty similar i suppose.
Unfortunately its a 2 way cable it pulls to pop the trunk and pushes the cable to pop the gas cap. I just ordered the part for 126 at the dealership to save the hassles because I shaved the trunk so if the cable fails im screwed.
^^ that sucks. Dealer once charged 300 for the molding around the cluster on my buddies Miata. Its plastic and weighs maybe half a pound. Dealers are crooks
I hope to finish the top this weekend, ive got to find a big rivet gun and rivets to re-attach the tension cables.
Fresh tinted rear window is masked up on the roof ready to be installed. While i had such access I rounded out the cuts for the suspension dampener knobs and added some sound deadening to the wheel well areas. Overall the tops been a breeze with patience.
I would of given you the cable for free.
the car is shaping up insanely well, i love it. Much better than your old interior work (red interior) from years back heh… this looks totally pro. Would love to see it in person when its fully completed
