Intake manifold should be ready by tomorrow all welded and ready to install.
While im waiting i got some paint just to clean it up for the time being. Next winter engine bay will get its makeover.

Fiberglass lessons!
Draw a picture or in vision how you want it to look. Very important or you may do a lot of work only to have made more work for yourself. also KISS! Keep it simple stupid.
Build a frame that you can fasten your fleece to, it needs to be strong because you’ll want to stretch the fleece on pretty tight or your masterpiece will be out of shape and require bodywork which you want to avoid…who likes bodywork anyways(I sure don’t)
Last step is to make brackets or a way to fasten it in place and clean up any high spots or rough edges then call me to upholster it
My ports are removable and help hold the cover in place. On the top corners near the hinges you’ll see the clips that hold the cover in place, underneath is just a metal bracket attached to the chassis. Ill be illuminating the Malta cross(its not the Choppers style cross) and adding some plexi behind it.
How much would it cost to make that manifold? Just curious
you can do a relay that outputs ground to the ebrake wire when it sees the remote wire turn on. I usually use a micro relay to save space…
That’s a clever trick!
For the manifold im in about $550 plus a day of my own labor modifying it to work. Not that i make them but its worth about $800 and would be more sensible to buy a real RIPS or equivalent.
this has to be one of the most interesting and informative build threads ive ever looked at man, keep it up so asome!!
do you still have that jdm bumper
Thank you thank you its been a long road on this one!
Dylan I have the fiberglass one that i did all the custom work to…its in rough bodywork shape. Interested?
I want the jdm one only sorry
Cotdamn…
Ahh. Yah was just curious figured it would be up there somewhere. Quality looks amazing. Great build. Going to be a Bings meet?
Ill be there as long as the night prior doesn’t handicap me.
Last night I had to park in a dirt/gravel parking lot and when i came back hours later the spot I was in turned out to be quicksand!..I had to get a tow out of the mud the front wheels sunk into the mud about 6" but thankfully no damage or even a scratch. Not slammed status ftw in this scenario!
Saw the car today, amazing. Car looks awesome man, keep it up!
hows the sub box sound since all the air pressure is in your trunk ? nice build
car looked sick today man
thanks guys! I lost spl porting to the trunk but it thumps much louder than necessary regardless.
The piece of aluminum was too thin and flexed under boost which over time caused a hairline crack right down the weld. While my compressor was forcing air into the hot pipe i was spraying soapy water around. Where ever bubbles are forming quickly you’ll see really well where your leaks are, i found 3 other very small leaks too.
My boot finally arrived! Where its marked with masking tape i added straps that fasten between the rear seat and panel to make it look sharper.
I made this tac down strip with some aluminum bar wrapped with vinyl and some piping.
Came out sharper than i expected! Im going to dye the cover in the future to make it like new.
Picked up some 350z brembo track rotors with the adapter for 300zx calipers. HUGE difference in braking…almost too much as my front wheels will lock up very quickly.
where did you get the adapter for the 350z track rotors?
ps looks great
I bought them second hand but i belive you can get them off ebay for close to $100, Its the rotors that are $$$.
