it depends on the car. But usually i dont care as long as they have the cash. It might piss me off later seeing what they do to it/ what happens to it but in the moment it usually doesnt matter
I just sold my car to a “younger guy” (25) and gave him and his friend all of the warning anyone would ever need to not die on their maiden voyage. After that, stupidity will take its course regardless of the vehicle. After he almost shit himself with me driving, he got the message.
My truck went to an older guy (almost 30) and he calls daily with questions about it.
If you’re worried about a hacked POS falling apart on a kid, I understand that. But a solid, modded, stupid fast car that anyone could drive… I slept fine at night, but I made him call me when he got home. lol.
I sold my modded cbr 600rr to a highschool senior who never rode a bike before… I let him take it for a drive around the block and he didnt know how to use the clutch or shift or anything (i had cash in hand)
When we loaded it in his trailer, he told me he couldn’t wait to take his girlfriend on it…
I wouldn’t think twice about a teenager’s ability to drive a modded car but I would feel bad about selling something I put so much time and effort into.
It’s kind of like being an arms dealer. You just have to accept the fact that if they don’t buy from you they’re just going to buy from someone else. It’s not like you’re selling the only modded car on the planet.
If it’s some deathtrap econo car where all the money went into the motor and nothing into brakes or suspension that’s a different story. In that case I’d feel bad selling it to anyone though.
I sold my formula with out a front bumper support and it didn’t take Big Ed long to hit someone  causing which would have been a cracked bumper into a lot of damage.
HAHAHAAH.
Cash is my only concern when selling something. I’m not a parent or babysitter. People will make their own mistakes and the consequences aren’t on my conscience.
" Did you have fears something you sold would have the floor rust away and the new owner fall out?"
I had an asian kid want me to come by UB to see my old stock civic. He wanted to test drive it around so I said fine. He literally could not drive a 5-speed at all, almost crashed into 2 parked cars, on top of numerous other potential disastrous moments. I doubt he even had a license to be honest with you. lol But had he pulled out some money, bye bye civic.

Is that what your lesson plan is to teach on the first day of class?
I felt bad selling the Turbo SHO. but only because of the work and money tied up in it. I told him it didn’t have a front sway bar and if you chucked it into a corner it had sever oversteer. fortunately he listened and we had a hell of a fun test drive. I knew he had track experience so I trusted him not to biff it.
