I Want a Trailblazer SS in spring…not the 1SS i want the 3SS with the cold air and the 6.0 LS2. It supposed to 0-60 in 5.8…but i’m not really looking for speed as much as i used to…i like the fact that the black ones look like FBI trucks. Just got a new job and i need to spoil myself come spring…with a new vehicle…any suggestions?(and yes it has to be a truck…i’m 18 and i don’t want a car especially a coupe…insurance already rapes me i don’t need it any worse)

6 to 7 i doubt it…smart buys are only for 5…and thats IF i go on a smart buy…and yes. My factors are…oh sure i can get something like a cobalt ss and have lower payments BUT insurance will be so f’ing high that i might as well have gotten a SUV with higher payments just to keep my insurance lower. And honestly…i’ll kill myself in a sports car…i know i will…so i’m trying to stay away from cars because that would be the only thing i would want if i got a car instead of a truck.

the SS will about as much as a sports car to tell u the truth insurance wise,and the SS is around 45-48 g’s i beleive as well. So say u do a smart buy for 5 months,then u will be paying around 800 an month
I’d say no also. Just save up and buy something in the spring. You said you just got the job so you might be the first to go when cuts come. Isn’t your insurance going to be high reguardless if you have an suv or a car?
I say stay with what you have now, stack your money and buy something when the time comes. I’m always against leasing because you never know what can happen at your job and then your back to looking, unless you can save enough to hold you over on all your bills for a couple months.
what makes you think you will get a cheaper insurance rate on a trailblazer ss than a cobalt? have you called to actually ask?
i know the SUV i wanted the rates were more than i’m paying for my car now… but i was looking to buy a much more baller suv than a trailblazer :kekegay:

i’ve gotten quotes…yes the ss will be higher on insurance than lets say the regular TB but it won’t be as high as if i was to go with a car like any of the ss cars or something along the lines of that. The 3SSTB is MSRP’d at 35 g’s and up…the 1SS(non-LS2) starts at 31…and as for the “baller suv’s” they are overrated…all the drug dealers and rappers have them…sure you can have an escalade or something on the lines of that…but when you punch it trying to leave me and i blow past you in oh lets say the SS who feels better in the end? i personally think “baller trucks” are ghey like some people think neons(the lights) are ghey. I like to be different from the others. But based on what you guys have told me i will start looking at other options IE:saving money up to buy something else perhaps
I’m 18…and if i’m not mistaken you MUST have full coverage on a vehicle you are making payments on…NOTHING is cheap for me lol…my 4banger…the aveo…230 a month with Statefrm…220 with progressive…and thats the bare minimum of what i can get…then turn around and look at my mom who has a 04 TB LTZ…86 dollars a month…full coverage full tort…i won’t be able to stop crying about the price of insurance for probably another 6 years or more

A “truck” with a 6.0L V8 and sport suspension isnt going to be anywhere under 300-400/ mo for you on full coverage
It was to say that being “in” the crowd isn’t for me…i don’t want to cut off little cars with my oversized cadillac truck and i also dont want to be one of those getting cut off 
but um yea the aveo…not cutting it for me and payments yes…progressive also said 211 a month for coverage on the SUV…just got it quoted again and my exact words…“but i’m not really looking for speed as much as i used to” not worried like i used to be…speed was all i wanted but i couldn’t afford it working at best buy so i got an aveo…now that i’m making 18.74 an hour i can go for what i want which is a decent amount of speed…in a truck. And the aveo…the turbo kit released for it…yea it’s 3000 bucks…i’ll be damned if i dump almost a quarter of the value of my car on mods lol. ps…the car has been hit three times…i’d have to be stupid to keep it
All TBSS have the 6.0 LS2 in them, i have no clue what youre talking about 3SS or 1SS or etc
and a TBSS costs around 43k and thats about 800 amonth payment with nothing down
i think the turbo porsche SUV or turbo Tourag he was looking at would have no problem keeping up with your SUV you cant afford

Yeah, full coverage is a must on a vehicle when you are not in possession of the title. As far as insurance, when I was that age, I found Erie to be the best pricing. I was paying 230 a month, but for only 9 months instead of 12, on a brand new z24 cavalier when i was 19. I never had to deal with them though, so I dont know how they are if you have to file a claim.
You will pay out the ass for insurance whether you are in a SS sports car or an SS SUV. So just bend over an take the ass raping for the next 7 years, LOL.
Payments are going to be high as hell…not sure if you still owe on your aveo, but if so, take into consideration you will get raped on that as well. So tack that on to your payments, and yeah, you are looking at no less than $700 a month.

So you’re 18 and you wanna go otu and break the bank on a new TrailBlazer SS? Why not just get a cheap Hyundai beater or something and save up for a long term investment, like a house…
