I do like your z06, and I like the caddy ctsv and the mid 90’s impala ss. Yep, that’s about it.
It’s the interior look i really hate. It looks cheap as hell, worse than Ford. And to be worse than ford in the interior department, you really have to be trying.
I was raised a ford guy. my dad had a 69 mach 1 mustang and has had a 91gt for a long time also. Every car my dad has had since I was born has been a ford. My first car was a buick, then I got a gmc truck. The only other GM in my family was a beat to death 80’s camaro and a 78 nova my brother had.
OK thanks guys…This at least gives me a few ideas…i guess it just comes down to what i like. Half of you like the GTO and half of you the STI. I am right in the middle. I was kind hoping that someone would end up saying that one or the other was ****! lol. In reality, with 300hp, the STI is only a tenth of a second slower in the 1/4 mile. So the GTO only is faster, with an xtra 100hp, by only a tenth of a second. That right there makes me want to get an STI. On the other hand, there are alot more STI’s out there than GTO’s and i have always been one to have a car that isnt as common. So again, I am torn. Nothing sounds as good as an agressive cam in the LS2. On the other side, nothing sounds like a full exhast on an STI. Maybe Ill just go and buy a truck so i can carry my zx12r around. grr…
Get the STI… you can compare HP numbers and mods all day… but take a step back and look at how both of the cars look on the outside… that should easily make your decision. Im sorry… I just think the GTO looks like a pile… thats just my opinion.
Go drive both back to back and buy whichever you like better. It’s OK to ask for feedback from an internet forum, but to actually based your decision on it is pretty silly.
gto is a disgrace compared to the old one. the old one was the fastest mofo out there the new one is a heavy lumbering grand prix. this wouldn’t even be a contest if the gto wasn’t so ugly.
dude, thats cause the STI can launch hard out of the hole, what is the difference in trap speed… 5-6 mph? to me that says that once the cars are rolling, the goat will walk the sti.
