suspension gurus chime in, i've got a few questions.

Because a BBSS set up is a specific set up in which, essentially, under-rated springs and an overly stiff sway bar are used.

http://www.circletrack.com/techarticles/ctrp_0704_soft_spring_setups/index1.html

Read that.

Either you’re confused on what a true BBSS set up is, or you’re not explaining yourself very well.

Huh? your loosing me here you want me to tell you what my set-up is? I thought it was about the person that started this thread. I didn’t get specific with my set-up because mine is on a s-13, not a crx converted with 240sx rear suspension. If you want to PM me I would be glad to talk more about my set-up. I was just trying to maybe give him some advice that he could use research and see if it was right for him?

I was never talking about your specific set up.

I was saying that you are misinformed as to what a true BBSS set up is, or your explaining yourself poorly.

This quote: “Just because you’re running a 25mm sway bar, and 8/6 springs, instead of a stock sway bar and 11/9s doesn’t mean you’ve got a SSBB set up.”

Was not directed specifically at you. It was a general statement about a theoretical set-up.

Well we don’t know how much his car weights but the closest thing I can say without specifics is you would want the springs soft enough to get the front end of the car down when entering the corner to create downforce/grip by the air passing overtop of the body. The bigger sway bar help with body roll/stability.

Actually the now debunk 240 forums silvia online or whatever it was called had in board suspension on the rear of their unfinished time attack s13 hatch first.

I invite you to www.nissanroadracing.com pm me with your user name so we can approve your registration  Lots of like-minded guys doing same/similar things.

NRR is specifically geared towards road racing/autox/grip/performance increase oriented guys not the show/drift/fanboys guys so the information is quite filtered in that sense. All are welcome however.

One of the main issues with the S chassis subframes to consider is their anti-squat characteristics, that’s what makes them great drift cars. The worst being the s13, then s14 and then the s15 subframe (kind of holy grail of grip other than going a completely custom route, which many of us desire – those interested in turning s chassis into grip road racing monsters and are not drift oriented).

Join NRR and discuss

Aahmed shut up. You are appreciated over there about as much as you are over here. I’ve seen your posts.

They definitely know their shit over there, but you’re just fucking annoying.

^^Schadd-Up. Dont turn this into a shit-pinata, I want to see this build without ahmad-bashing bullshit raining down and getting this thread locked.

Thnks =)

Show me what you can do before you type something like that

I was actually not annoyed with you as of late with your new rogerthat attitude, so much for that.

wouldn’t the sport package be HICAS theo? pretty sure FSM shows those to have heavier springs.

lol haters  Gotta love them  Just jealous admit it  I think some of you are still stuck in fantasy son240 land where taurus brakes are real and automatic 240s are my thing you know how it goes  Anyways moving on  Keep the project coming, advice: join there.

Edit:

This is what I was talking about earlier:

The project however got abandoned. Some of the pictures don’t even load anymore… they had cantilever suspension design/inboard suspension designed on the rear tied in with the cage. It was neat.

registration is disabled on nrr. i have no interest in joining a private forum.

It’s not private per se, they just had some spam issues, it’s disabled until they resolve it.

Several of us are registered over there, and despite Aahmed being annoying as hell, he’s right, there’s a ton over awesome information and educated people over there. It’s worth it to sign up. I’m honestly not sure how your whole project would be approached over there, since they’re kinda purists, but they definitely know suspension tech, and you could probably gain a lot of good info from them.

That’s why I said PM me your email and username and I’ll get it activated for ya  If you want, if not, it’s all good :stuck_out_tongue:
