SHUSH

I am going to tdi swap the metro sleeping under the snow in my driveway. I bet I can get like 90mpg.

3300lb jetta VS 1500lb metro / 1.9L tdi + .8xx 5th gear and 3.14 R&P * 72.5mph - fat chicks + painters taping up all body gaps, removing roof antenna, side pass side mirror & over inflating 12" tires with unutanium gas (lighter 3 fold than helium) = KING OF TDI KLUB!!!

If I can’t beat you, then I’ll join you

u forgot a full 1 piece carbon fiber body shaped like a bullet wit a single plastic bucket for a seat :stuck_out_tongue:

ohh my god.

WHOA dude! also, put fuellies in ur sigs! Let’s do a forum ranking! honor system ofcourse

I want to see a REALISTIC, non-bias MPG vs. operating costs (initial vehicle price included) comparison between a diesel VW and a similar optioned/model year gas car. Curious how many miles it takes for the diesel to pay off…

new vehicle or used?

Both!

car was 6.8, fuel is in my sig. Do we add maintenance stuff too? or just car+gas?

Using my vehicle ($2000) getting an average of 17mpg vs a $6500 used diesel getting 40mpg it’d take 45,000 miles to make up the cost. Vs a $5500 diesel getting 40mpg, 35,000 miles and so on. VS a $4000 diesel getting 50mpg it’d only take 16,500 miles. All based on current figures and assuming there is no unusual problems. So basically, if you have a diesel, KEEP IT so it’s worth it.

If only TDi a8 came in the states… : (
