Today, I went to the gym and worked out with a trainer. While doing arm exercises he commented on how impressed he was with the size of my triceps. That really boosted my self-confidence, until he leaned in to feel them and said, “Oh, it’s just fat.” FML
Any updates guys? My biceps have increased about an inch, same with my calves and uhh… forearm muscle? I’m still maxed at 205 on bench but I can do it a lot easier. As far as planche pushups… not a ton of progress.
Looking to run a 7 minute mile soon but I can only make it .5 miles at that pace without stopping. I need to stop running in winter boots argh
did shoulders today. 3 different supersets
superset 1:
Dumbell shoulder press and barbell upright row (4x10)
superset 2:
Lateral raise and front raise (4x10)
superset 3:
Standing bent over flys and seated lateral raises (4x10)
My lateral deltoid, aka medial deltoid, is really bothering me. I get a numbness when i do lateral and front raises, and it is deffinitly not a good sore that i get when i wake up the next day. My other shoulder feels good but my left one is feeling kinda weird. I hope it goes away.
Thank me later.

sweet thanks ill try this
i need an xercise that gets rid of the stretch marks on the side of my ass =( my skins loosened up from when i used to play soccer, any thoughts besides squats, im been tryin differnt ones for weeks and have had marginal improvements
at first…i was like…wtf? i didnt understand it…then i was like…dude no way will this be hard…
Now, i’m sitting here…after doing 50…and my shoulders feel like they are on fire.
i feel gay saying this…or admitting it…i have the SAME marks.
I played soccer for like 8 years.
Word, I always do them after a shoulder workout. They hurt like fuck everytime, it’s never easier. When a width gets easy, you move your hands in and then it’s difficult again
I have these also. Doesn’t bother me.
i’ve lost about 15lbs. from 230 to 212lbs so far ive been lifting and doin some mma and bjj training at wnymma in lockport, theres a ju jitsu tournament in fredonia in april id like to make 195lbs to compete in the beginners class
Nice man, bjj is the shit. Do you have any wrestling background? I wanna train bjj again.
btw, shoxdoctor is a must, lol.
yea shockdoctor ftw, and yea i wrestled for 2 yrs in high school bjj is so much like wrestling it gave me an advantage for just startin out
Yeah man, absolutely. Wrestling gives you that coordination being on the ground, not to mention the strength and stamina. I remember the first time i rolled I was out of breath in like 2 minutes lol. Plus all tournaments start on the feet, so against some noobs you can honestly just shoot a double and land in mount lol
true im pickin it up pretty quickly i think, the guys i rolled w/ used to catch me in triangles and armbars in like 5 seconds but now im gettin alot better at passin their guard and gettin side control/mount ect. ive only been doin it since the end of dec. and due to work i can only get in there like every otherweek
was up to 178, then really hit cardio and stomach… 170 now.
goin to do chest and back now, i know im gonna superset but im not exctly sure what im gonna do yet, i like firguring it out on the way to the gym though
:nono: shame shame shame
i’m at 170lbs now.
I benched the other day, starting at 135 10x…155 8x…175 6x and to top it off 4 reps of 195…my last two reps of 195 were pretty sloppy but I was pretty excited…
I would like to try and max out, I bet I could get somewhere around 230ish.
so no one can cure my and ^^^'s ass wrinkles, LOL
I would say you might be in the neighborhood…
The other day: Warmup @ 135 x 13, 165 x 12, 185 x 6, 225 x 1
If you are going to “truly” max out you need to adjust your workout to a warmup, and 1-2 sets of 4-8 reps, then go for your highest weight. I am sure everyone does it differently
