I’ve hit a weight loss plateau of about 220lbs (was 265). I eat more, I eat less, stay the same, so I guess exercise is what I need to get the rest off. When I was working out (out of highschool never went again) I was doing 10 sets of 10 @ 135. I notice you guys start light and work heavier with less reps.
I haven’t been to the GYM since 2006. Any suggestions on where to start? I think I’m gonna just pick up a Y membership.

Will be the death of me. Funny as a few days ago was the first time I ran in four months after an ankle injury that I am still in physical therapy for.
Once I pop of this marathon ill go back to lifting I suppose.

Bro, I am all that is man. My fucking ankle is shot either way and I will have surgery on it after the marathon I think. However I already got approval from the doc that running the shit out of it isnt going to make it worse. Just slightly painful is all.

I benched 215 4x the other day
have a pretty good bench work out I do…
start with 25lbs on each side, increase it by ~10lbs on each side… do 5 reps each set…
My bench workout looked like this:
95lbs-10x
115lbs-8x
135lbs-6x
155lbs-5x
175lbs-5x
195lbs-5x
215lbs-4x- cheating a bit on the last 2 because i’m a weakling.

One thing dawned on me the other day about my weight: When I quit coffee my weight jumped from a stable 185 to 200 pounds in a week and stayed there. (I went from 5-10 cups a day to none.) I also totally lost my apetite in the morning. I used to get out of bed hungry and go make eggs and bacon and toast. Now I hardly eat anything for breakfast and I have no appetite until like 10am. I’m going to start forcing myself to eat bigger breakfasts again.
well if u look at planche pushups, they are using all of ur body weight concentrated on a small area, regular pushups, the weight is distributed rather evenly throughout ur body, maybe i just didnt explain well enough
