Catholocism was the first form of Christianity. No Protestant versions of Christianity were formed until 1500 years after Jesus was executed. How can you claim to have the “real” version of Christianity when your version didn’t exist until a millenium and a half after the person who created the religion died?
so you really believe that your ancestors were apes? how has a human evolved in the last 100,000 years? have we adapted yes, but evolved no. example we are on average 1 foot taller than a person in Jesus’s time but that is simply because we actually have nutrition and the know how to keep ourselves sustained. sorry that isn’t evolution and unless you show me some insane charicteristic that human body evolved in the then sorry you are wrong and there is nothing you can say to make it make sense to anyone who has any sense.

please tell me you are joking? catholocism was founded on beliefs in the old testament. they claim that they believe in the new testament but didn’t take on all of it’s truths. an example would be that before Jesus died you had to speak through a ordained minister to good and the new testament says that you don’t have to. by the way Jesus did not create the religion the belief in God has been around since before written text and so has the story of the bible(old testament)

I would agree with this - except that I am proud to be one. I don’t push it on anyone, but you do whatever you want with your life, I choose to live mine as a catholic.
What I find odd is how Jesus came to be as the story says, Son of God, who came to live among humans How about hercules? The story is somewhat the same. Son of a God who came to live among humans.

Uh…you’re way out there dude. Christianity is a religion founded on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, the so-called Christ/Messiah. The New Testament is an often revised collection of this historical figures teachings which provides the basis for the religion known as Christianity. Christianity did not exist before Jesus. Judaism did. They are very different religions.

Evolution and adaption are the same thing. I’ll attempt to both explain the theory of evolution and provide a possible example of the path of future human evolution:
With a depleted ozone layer, more UV radiation is making it’s way to the Earth’s surface. Consequently, those with fair skin are becoming rampant with melonoma and dying off. Finally, all those who had fair skin have died because fair skinned humans are highly susceptible to melonoma caused by UV radiation. As a result, all remaining humans are dark skinned. The humans reproduce and now all human beings are dark skinned. Humans have evolved.

lol have you ever seen what people in the middle east have looked like for years? have you also ever thought it is from mixing blood of darker and lighter people. sorry man the change in skin color is way too little to say it is evolution. look at northern and southern Italians one is dark one is white is milk but both are italian. so in actuality you can be full blooded italian and still have mixing of the 2 and end up some where in the middle

No, it’s really not. Christianity has evolved ( 
) from Judaism. The main, most fundamental difference (though there as so many others it’s almost pointless to go down this path) is that Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah and reject all of his teachings. Wouldn’t you say that’s a pretty fundamental difference, making the religions NOT “very close”?

I think my example went right over your head. It was theoretical, as far as I know all white people haven’t died yet.
well yeah i celebrate it with other followers at church but i don’t go and say “HEY I’m catholic look at me” so i guess i am proud i just don’t brag about it. And i’m sure someone will bring up “well you wear a central catholic shirt” yeah i do but in support of the school. Same with notre dame… i’m not wearing the shirt with the name because it mean “our mother” but for the school.
emacianic jews do believe in Jesus and say he is the son of God. I know a few they are pretty cool people and can teach you alot of what the old testament says and means.

I dunno I don’t think catholics back in Jesus’s time are the same as catholics today man. the Europeans twisted that religion to make them money which is why it is what it is today and people like redneck feel the way they do(redneck I do understand why you see the church as a money maker but not all churches are like that believe me)
Catholicism isn’t Christianity, they are very different. Catholocism wasn’t the only flavor of Christianity until the protestant reformation.
Catholics follow the traditions and teaching of men, plain and simple. The church reduced salvation to a saleable commodity, they sell salvation through the church.
As far as the apostles being catholic, I highly doubt John was when he wrote the book or Revelation.
