Donnie Darko - 3/10 (and that is only for the amusing casting done!)
Finally got around to actually sitting down and watching this, not just catching it in pieces on TV.
I don’t get what the big fuss is about this movie. Yes I completely understand it, I don’t get how people “don’t get it”. Nothing that spectacular, perhaps its just a sign of it’s age. Nothing particularly wrong with it other than the story. Maybe this just isn’t my cup of tea.

Didn’t live up to the hype. Fast paced and predictable. Only a hour and a half so wasn’t drawn out.

Seriously, I want my 100 minutes of my life back. Worst movie I think I have ever seen in a while.

Kind of like Liar Liar but Jim Carey was funny and there was some laugh out loud parts. OK story line for a comedy movie too.

Stupid. Plain and simple and I love pointless funny movies. This one I didn’t seem to laugh.
Reservation Road 8/10
Not bad for a drama. Nothing was better on so got watching it and ended up being decent.

Passed the time. That is it.
How are people rating Taken so highly? That movie was so unbelievable and contrived I almost turned it off. The only thing that did keep me going was the action. Let’s nevermind how in the world the plot progressed and how unbelievable it was when it did…

Death Proof 6/10 - good, but drawn out…good ending.
Terror Planet 8/10 - hysterically funny and entertaining.
so, now a fictitious action movie has to be BELIEVABLE to be acceptable or good? I suppose Die Hards and Lethal Weapons were all right on the money for realism…
While you are obviously entitled to your opinion regarding your preference in movie quality, this point of view is like saying Pixar movies suck because they are animated. If you want “real”, watch a documentary.

This isn’t a movie, but I watched the premier of Breaking Bad last night… The first season was phenomenal, and this premier started off just as i’d hoped it would.
I don’t think it was that it was unrealistic. I think the fact that it was promising for the first hour and then took a horrible horrible turn for the worst and he ended up killing the whole Albanian nation.

The action and drama kept me on the edge the entire time. Given how intense it was the plot wasn’t even that bad. It’s not destined to be a classic but it was really really really entertaining. I liked it a lot.
Role Models
I agree with pirite. I was expecting a lot more funny than was actually delivered. There were some redeeming moments consisting of sexy topless females, otherwise rather disappointing.

Face/Off - 10/10. This is a documentary about Castor Troy and Sean Archer. Really good a lot of factual information in it.

This is a documentary about tornado hunters. Really good a lot of factual information in it, as well as differentiation between corporate tornado hunters vs. freelancers, and STELLAR believable dialogue.
