My 07 fusion needs tires. Stock size is 205 60 16. I would like a wider tire, either a 215 or a 225 and probably a 55 or a 50 sidewall. What brands are good anymore. The last few times I got tires for my crown vic, I just went to the dealer and said, “I need new tires” and they put some on.
Is there a sponser on the site who deals with tires? I really don’t want to go to the dealer or some stupid ass tire shop if I don’t have to.
I got a lot of life out of a set of Bridgestone Potenzas and my girlfriend’s Tiburon has Yokohamas with almost 30,000 miles so far and still good bit of tread left.
we’ve been running goodyear eagle F1 all seasons on the civic and their great!
But I wouldnt buy that expensive of a tire for a fusion that sees snow and etc
I always bought my tires at Sam’s club and made sure they have a warranty. Typically they come with a 60K warranty and Sams is usually real good with honoring it. I usully get 30-40K out of the tires then when I go in for new ones I get roughly 40-50% off because of the pro-rated warranty.
if worse comes to worse and you need someone to install them i can help you out there. but i do not sell them. most customers been happy shopping for tires online and shipping them here and can install while they wait. thought would throw that out if you can’t find what you want
if you want a wider tire go 225-55-16 a 215-55-16 is almost half an inch shorter in diameter
just keep in mind that they may rub and may not wear right depending on the with and offset of the oem wheels
in the way of what is good are you more worried about wear, ride, traction, or just a cheap tire
yokohama’s are always good
sumitomo’s are half decent for a cheap tire
kumho’s are cheap and wont last very long but they also have a very low cost
michelin’s would be the best but they also have the highest price tag
goodyear’s are junk and almost never balance out right
cooper’s are usually always decent just keep in mind if its an off brand cooper it is USUALLY junk notice i said usually
falken’s are crap don’t even waste the money
bfg’s are good but they only do ultra high performance tires
any other questions just ask i sell tires for a living so i have a ton of useless knowledge
the potenza re750’s are really nice. i just got the dunlop direzza and i like them a lot so far, but they are only for summer. the goodyear eagle F1’s got good reviews for all season and so did the yokohamas but i forget which model.
