TWC and Comcast merging

Oh man. ePenis in the room.

TCP/IP Model is more relevant. Few people can actually explain either and just something to put on a resume.

What’s with the picture? I just thought it was a bunch of tubes…

If you put either TCP/IP model or OSI model on your resume you are either A) lacking anything to put on a resume or B)A self-centered fggt.

Son of a bitch…time to rewrite my resume.

Google already has google fiber.

And Comcast already has cable + internet of their own.

You’re far more likely to get fiber into the home with a cable company vs google jumping into some random market.

Fiber is already run into your neighborhood if they offer cable service

I really don’t want anything to do with comcast or crime warner

It’s funny people love Google

Yay the price is $50 a month cheaper but they rape all your personal data

There’s multiple factors in that though. I really don’t buy into the whole “OMG Google is So Evil” stuff. I guess I’m a fanboy since I love how innovative they are. The majority of personal data is also given away freely.

I didn’t say I don’t like Google and im not a fan boy.

I’m just saying any price offsets/free services google offers are directly related to them selling and using your personal data.

At some point years down the line this will become important

I was speaking in general terms. Also how much of that personal data is given up freely?

Google is much more evil than Microsoft ever was. People just love google search so much they’re willing to mentally block it out.

How are they more evil?

Hmm, scanning your emails, using your location and storing every search you’ve ever done so they can send you targeted ads.

Yanking exchange support for gmail simply because too many people were using it to get push email on Apple products and Apple is a competitor.

Buying Nest, basically because as a “smart” thermostat it can tell when you’re home and when you’re not, data google is salivating over.

Let’s not even get into the privacy concerns of the data they’ll collect with google glass.

Using their PR department to come up with a bunch of talking points for any employee who might want to attend the board meeting about the google company buses.

The whole google barge thing that no one knows exactly what they’re up to but they didn’t bother getting permits for any of it.

You’re probably thinking, "well that’s not the level of anti-trust lawsuit stuff like Microsoft had with IE. Oh don’t worry, they’re up to that kind of bullshit too.

And I say all this while typing in Chrome, with gmail and google calendar tabs open, and my Android powered S3 sitting 4" from my desktop keyboard.

Microsoft might have been pricks when it came to competition but at least they never logged every key you typed on any windows computer and compiled it into some giant database.

What’s the difference whether it’s raped once or twice? You still gon get raped yo!

That we know of…yet. #Snowden

So who’s your email provider? What search engine do you use?

It was rhetorical.
