UPS man was nice to me......

wow hpf makes some very nice stuff, but the prices are absolutely crazy, but then again it is goin on a car that the bumpers are made of carbon fiber

Progress is a little slower then i would like, got stuck on teh fuel rail extensions for ~ 4 hours today… the little buggesrs didnt want to line up at all… took like 10 tries

im on page 20 of 35 in the instructions, all the big stuff is done…

Nice looking hairdryer Brian, I can’t wait to see the end result.

not wasting any time I see… very nice.

I believe the car is his daily driver, i doubt he wants it out of commission for long HaHa

Install is done, but im having some software issues and i need a scan tool to reset fuel adaptaions in order to get the car driving right… it feels like its missing some cyl, it sounds like a subaru right now… not sure why… it was fine for a minute

I also burned up my PS pump i think, and by i think, i mean i know… the thing doesnt sound healthy at all right now, i kinked a PS hose in a area that i couldnt see and i think the pump ran dry for a little bit

engine bay pic was taken before i finsihed up the wiring…

also i am going to remove the CF spoiler, its beat to shit, but i wanted to get out and drive the car when i finsihed… oh well

holy shit that was quick… what about tuning it

Looks great, I would love to see the inter cooler painted black. I just can’t believe you left the splitter on for the winter.

Great looking pic from the front.

the splitter was already DOA… there are a couple of hidden/rusty bolts that i couldnt get off last time i tried…

Now i know how to get the bumper on/off easily… so i will try it again soon

I like the splitter looking rough…

its cracked in half in the middle now… hit a animal a couple weeks ago that finally cost it

wow nice pickup, and even nicer that you have it already installed. little problems here and there always occur, i’m sure they will be sorted by the time the weather is nice. don’t mind the haters.

Interested to see how it goes when all things are sorted out. Are you getting a CEL for the missfire?

X…

Looks good. I am looking forward to see how it runs and sounds.

can I ask how much that kit cost. I seen someone post that it was like 10K new. Hope you get the bugs figured out.

Are you sure you didn’t miss a fuel injector connection? I’ve had that happen to me before…

could be a bad or non-functioning coil too. When there is a misfire…the ECU sends the engine into Limp mode and quites sending fuel to that cylinder so it doesn’t cause damage the next time it fires if it’s loaded up on fuel.

I didnt miss a fuel injector clip… i got new wire clips from innovative, and they all clicked on just fine… i also double/tripple checked them while the car was idling in the garage…

The BOV is WIDE open at idle right now, which is kind of troubling, but i guess it should be open… i just dont know how soon it is shutting under boost… since the car is alpha-N the car doesnt like when boost escapes…

Lafengas

coils are what im thinking…

i am getting the autoenginuity scan tool + bmw enhanced module tomorow (if you need to borrow it as an FYI)

ill scan for codes/ reset fuel adaptaions, and im also ordering 6 new coils today… with ~100k on the car, it was time for the old coils to go anyways…

Im pretty srue i fried the cltuch though on the 2nd pull… i cam back and my gf noticed the smell in the garage right away… WHOOPS, oh well i have the new clutch sitting in my house, just didnt want to work on the car for a week…

wouldn’t the BOV always be close unless a defined pressure limit is exceeded?
