Haha i know bill. I’m definitely doing the work myself. I’m gonna have it in my garage to be worked on anyways, so I mine as well. And as a matter of fact fellas, it is possible to get a VR6 to pull 11s in the 1/4 mile. I just don’t plan on doing it. But basically you’d be doing the same thing that hondas owners do(not meant to poke fun at you guys). You turbo the shit out of it, COMPLETELY gut it besides your seat, the wheel, and all that junk, no doors, no hood, no fenders, no hatch (in the case of a golf), no interior whatsoever, etc. etc. Register it for a 14 second car, because you don’t need to have a rollcage or any of that shit, and then do your run. Obviously when they see you ran higher they’d boot you without the roll cage and whatnot, but vwala, you’ve ran 11s with a VR6. My cousin has footage of it, so :2fingers: .

one of my good friends was driving on long island out by montauk late one night, going sround a turn sees deer in the headlights, swerves and crashes his car into a ditch. needless to say his car got totalled so before u say that it is a shitty idea to hit the deer, think of the difference between hitting a standing deer, or a tree.

FIRST, you’re not even going to get all the money to fix your car, so you’ll still be paying out of your pocket to get those “sW33t aft3rm4rk3t p4rtZZZZ” WHICH DEFENTS THE POINT OF HITTING THE FUCKING DEER IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

SECOND, you probably had PLENTY of time to slow down, swerve, honk your horn, etc. etc., but after everyone called you out on it, you decided to throw in details that you neglected to post in the first post, because you thought you were gonna look Soo0o0oo kEwL without those details.

who cares…he saved money on bullets and ruined his car that now might have a salvage title all for some venison planning to get alot of $$ it might work out for him it might not.

Couple of things came to mind reading this nonsense…

First, do what you want but I personally ALWAYS opt for threshold braking to avoid a car/deer collision. Ever hear of wolfpack avoidance instinct? Deer tend to wait for the last minute to dive out of the way. Hence the “deer-in-headlights” cliche. So if you swerve you will probably either lose control and crash, swerve right into the deer, or a combination of the two.

Second, MK3Vdubcody01234098;alskjf: If you really did hit the deer intentionally (although I suspect you were just overdriving your headlights and are trying to cover up bad driving habits with a cool sounding story) I hope you realize that you risked serious injury or death to both yourself and your friend. I’d hate to see someone get hurt due to carelessness like that, so I’d like to respectfully suggest that you never pull that shit again.

Last, it isn’t impossible to get a VR6 to run 11’s. It’s just that so many VW’s are stock weight (read: heavy) and more show than go so nobody thinks it can be done. Hell it’s possible to hit 12’s all motor. All you need to hit 11’s is a turbo (nothing too extreme even), some weight reduction, and probably an LSD and a shorter set of final drive gears.
