Where to dump oil??

I have like (6) 5gal buckets filled with old motor oil. Where can I legally/safely dispose of this??

find the closest overpass and see if you can dump all 6 before someone calls the cops on you. bet you cant do it…

bring it to any auto store, just do one a day, by law they can take up to 5 gallons from you a day

check local sanitation. they usually have specific dates they will pick it up. In Tonawanda they pick it up every week as long as it is properly labeled.

only tonawanda does it everyweek as far as i know. Other places have specific dates.

yea any dealership or shop should take it off ure hands…most use oil burners for heaters in the shop… thats where all the oil goes from oil changes…

indeed. usually i just put the used oil in quarts, then tape them all together and write used oil on it, then on garbage day they take it away lol
