I called them when mine went, I also called kinetic when the IC split and it was funny, kinetic said they mig theirs because “magnus doesn’t tig weld intakes either”. Huge Welds that are flat like quarters with 0 penetration are not tig welds, and in person they don’t look anything like tig welds. They dont’ come close to looking like what my JMF intake looks like. They were white uniform and very pretty looking, just looked like a huge roll of quarters, the welds were over 1/2in wide.
Dont’ know what they do now, don’t care.
you can have a weld as you described from a tig. Some ppl dont realize when you start to use a thick gauge material you should actually leave a slight gap [depending on thickness of material] that gaps allows you to fully pentrate thru the material and have a structure weld. if you dont leave the gap you wont get full pentration unless you crank the heat and distort the metal. the same goes for other materials besides ALU

oops. Maybe I shoulda read some of the responses.
Drove the car for the first time last night. Simply amazing. The tune is excellent, everyday drive ability is there and power comes on nice and smooth. The head/turbo combo is excellent. The power is delivered very smooth and consistent. It demolishes street tires first through fourth and just rips on slicks. I can’t wait till Saturday to see what times it produces.
Thanks to Denis for an awesome tune, Roberts Autobody for fixing the accident and a big thanks goes out to Jeffy! The rest of the cage turned out excellent and I couldn’t be any happier.
