who here doesnt have powersteering?

i just installed a 14:1 ratio rack in the neon i built, its a power rack with “firm feel” but im not hooking up the lines, i just want the quicker turns, ive driven a 16:1 without p/s and it was fine, anyone else have any input?

btw, the engine bay is empty, i can always reinstall it easily

I think my RT had the 14:1 rack. I took out the PS. It wasn’t bad.

My CRX does not have power steering. When the cars rolling its no difference to me.

The car does weigh 1900lbs though.

i dont in my civic its fine while moving but when it comes to a dead stop time to get the guns out to make a turn…

You shouldn’t be turning the wheels from a dead stop anyways without powersteering…
you have to roll and then turn as quickly as you can

my bracket kind of just fell off my block, that was fun. i didn’t know it was gone until i was taking a turn at 50

race cars dont need power steering maaaaaaaaaan

the bracket for the p/s pump on my 944 broke and I just ziptied the pump up and never got around to fixing it but after driving it without the p/s I like the feel better.

i drove my old beater k car with the faster rack (2.5 turns lock to lock) without power steering for years. it wasnt bad.

My MR2 has manual steering. The Lotus and S60 R have power steering.

my car came with PS but I have since cut the belt :gotme:

I am powersteeringless

my t-rex is power steering-less as well. But that doesn’t count, i don’t think.

the sohc 97 neon i have has no power steering and its a pain in the ass.

its 2370lbs with stock RT wheels and tires. its way harder to turn than my crx was with similarly sized tires. it has a PS rack looped and the rest of system was removed.

I’m still trying to figure out how an angular input can correspond to a linear distance in a unitless ratio…

Unless it refers to steering angle vs wheel input angle, but that’s stupid, because it’s also an effect of suspension geometry.

No power in the stangs … no problem either

no ps in the civic. like it alot better actually…

No PS here but my stuff was built in the 40’s & 50’s

Z32 has no PS, i like it.

No PS is for poor people.

naaa its for people that live their lives a 1/4 mile at a time. LOL
I planned on using p/s, drove it with the manual box, liked it and sold my p/s box to CamaroJoe
