Wow

I wonder if people think it’s a joke to do this kinda shit.

Is it funny.

I will find you, don’t doubt that for one second.

Pictures will come soon.

My car was broken into last night. From a quick once over they stole my two autometer gauges, my turbo timer, my a-pillar gauge pod, my air filter, my breather filter, my backpack. I might find more stuff gone in the morning.

They cut BOTH of the battery wires for the trunk and smashed the battery box.

They smashed the driverside window.

They took my backpack, I’d assume to carry the shit in.

Thank god I have a stock stereo and a completely gutted interior. I guess they were pretty upset they didn’t find too much else.

Let me know when you find em.

I’ll bring my pliers and a blowtorch.

ahh fucking fagots man… i wanted to buy those guages and pod… any idea on anyone who wouldve done this?? any enemies or guys here who were jelous of u?

sorry again :frowning:

I second that. I’ll bring the second bottle of acetylene. That’s crap man, I can only imagine what kind of anger you must be feeling.

you know your hurtin when you steal a 5 dollar breather from crappy tire (unless thats k&n still…)

if i found them i would first make fun of them for being poverty

then drill threw their kneecaps with a 1/2" bit

one day i hope to be able to do that to someone

man , I needed that turbo timer .

That really sucks… I’ve had my car broken into too, and it’s the worst feeling…

But I do gotta wonder why you would advertise with the stickers on your windows… You do realize that’s practically an invitation to theft right ? I don’t get why people do that…

People who do this sorta thing do deserve to have a finger cut off at the very least… Theifs are the lowest level of scum.

James

Dude that totally sucks ass and pisses me off

This happened to me last summer. It was your basic smash N grab where they took my deck and cd’s but left my tools and what not. Smashed out the passenger side window.

One thing that surprised me is they took the time and had the tools to remove your filter. Sure it’s not a hard thing to do but it’s not a grab N run thing either.

I hope you do find out who it was but chances are slim.

This is one of the reason’s I’ve considered a door shock alarm system. Sure it’s illegal but it won’t be enough voltage to kill, unless you have pace maker. I personally don’t care though b/c if your gona try and break in to someone’s car, you deserve what you get. Just my opinion.

that sucks, I’ve got a free piece of glass if you want it…

I can’t believe they took the filter+ adaptor but left the MAFS… it would have been easier to undo the MAFS

GB on that 3M window coating that makes glass impenetrable?

Ugh, theives are the lowest of low. I never fought anyone I my life, and I’ve never been violent, but I swear… if I ever saw someone stealing my shit, or even someone elses shit I wouldn’t hesitate. Nothing make me mad like that.

If you find out who, seriously give me a call and I’ll go along to pay them a visit.

i couldn’t have said it any better myself. although i’ve never had my car broken into, i did have my wallet stolen just before christmas and have an idea of how you feel. i really hope you find whoever did it. and if you do find out who it was, you can add me to the list of people to call.

good luck bro.

That sucks. Sucks hard. I had most of my interior, my intake, rims stolen off my old Mustang. Such a major piss off. Now Im getting mad thinking about it…

I hate to be the one to say it, but it really sounds like they knew what they were after.

Did anyone contact you about parts that never showed up to buy them?

They’d have to be pretty aware of 240s to get in and steal what they did.

But they also did some weird things.

Like cutting the battery leads. They had to smash the window first, so they’d know if the car had an alarm or not by then.

The only problem with an active alarm system (electric shock, I’ve also seen ones that lock thieves in the car) is that either one day you’ll forget about it and be on the receiving end, or it’ll piss the thief off so much, he’ll set your car on fire.

Unfortunately this is what has lead me to rarely lock my cars. I had someone smash out a rear quarter window in my Charger to get in. Sad thing was it wasn’t even locked, it just looked like it was (the plunger was threaded way down, to keep me form being able to lock it) and you really have to pull on the handle to get the door open.

Didin’t steal my shitty deck, or shitty tapes. Honestly, all I found was a newspaper and coffee time cup. The best I can figure, they broke in to chill out, read the paper and drink their coffee.

And I was out $500 for new glass, cut myself horribly cleaning out the glass (thought I’d cleaned it all up, stuck my hand between the seat in the back, found a cluster of broken glass by sticking my hand right in it)

The second time I know of, in a well lit, (supposedly secure) underground garage. Someone scared off someone trying to do something in my car. The super called me, and when I went don, I found they’d broken the ignition cylinder, scratched the hell out of my column.

In a car that old, you can open the hood without needing to get inside. Had they bothered, they would have noticed there was no battery and no carburetor. Heheh.

I don’t really think stickers are more of draw … not more than the car being a 240. Like 90% of people that rock stickers don’t even have the products.

I don’t think it would hurt to go back through your PMs and eliminate one by one the people that have come by/contacted/have your address.

This isn’t by far the first person that has been selling stuff through the classifieds that has been ripped off later.

Hell, I’ve even found people skulking around behind MSSC.

When a Civic takes off in a hurry because you stroll out with a 15-pound sledge to ask why they’re hanging around at 1 am … it’s hard to not imagine what they were up to.

Rather than drill their kneecaps (I like that too, but knees are resilient and it’s hard to get someone to sit still that long.)

Much easier and much faster to grab a pair of tin snips and cut their achilles tendon. One snip = instant paralysis, and relatively painless.

wow

John, I think it’s time to move out of the Oaks.

My first thought was it was someone from here, just because only the people on here know exactly what I have and what it’s worth.

Then I thought, no, because some shit that was easy to take was left there. Stuff that the average enthusiast would take for use or value.

Filled out a police report…now I wait.

Good thing is that I work at a quick lube that gets a ton of modified cars. And I know everyone in the area that has a modified car worth mentioning.

Sounds like it was someone from the neighbourhood. Thanks for the words guys.

and about the stickers, it’s not like I have a sticker that says “gauges and air filter are easy to take” I have stickers from SPEC (my clutch) and stuff like that. I guess it is sorta advertising, but that doesn’t make it any less unreasonable.

stickers dont have any effect on it…

any oen who knows my cars knows ive had TONS of stickers on them… im the ultimate ricer when it comes to that… and ive never had a problem.

GT

You have a family of giants and your dad is the law.
I doubt anyone in the neighborhood would mess around.
