C6 Z06 blown engine not covered by warranty

its not the same thing. see my earlier post.

Yup, I read it, good info. The dealership didn’t even try to figure out what the problem was though…so noone knows if it was an overrev, oil starvation, etc.

are you saying the gtr is priced out of itś market? That is a joke. Oh and the new 370z starts at just a hair under $30k. If the reviews are correct, it is a GREAT car for the cost.

You should probably learn to close your mouth so you don’t have to wipe that dribble, I’m sure your boyfriend would appreciate it. Granted shouldn’t be hard for him to find a new piece wandering around RIT.

Nope, it wasn’t. Why wasn’t it? Because Nissan voids any warranty where traction control was turned off.

See what I’m getting at here? It’s like building a 500hp car, and then saying “Sorry you can only use 150hp, but if you’d like to use the rest you run the risk of your transmission blowing up and we WILL 100% void your warranty”.

Please, take your ignorance back to roclife where it belongs.

Oh wait, even THEY THINK YOU’RE AN IDIOT.

Who cares? It was already out of warranty. Might as well have been a '67 vette that the guy wanted to know why the engine blew and if it would have been covered under warranty, or hell, could’ve been a GTR at a Chevy dealer. Point being, it’s not their problem.

Once again, your horrible reading comprehension precedes you. Nice try, but your grasping at straws now.

Wrong. I’ve heard of a few situations where the warranty fixed the GTR’s problems/transmission.

Z0MG IM RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO SAY, LETS THROW MORE INSULTS!!11!!1!1!

36 months or 36k mile warranty.

The situations are strikingly similar, but you insist on saying otherwise. :picard:

Yes, that’s called good faith, if you’d ever owned a new car, or dealt with a dealer, or known someone who has a relationship with a dealer where they’d rather pay to keep the customer happy you’d understand this. Exception =! Rule.

Track use = voided warranty. Doesnt matter what year it was, you dumb fuck. Jesus, how many times were you dropped as a child?

60 month 100k

Aren’t the dealers there to keep customers happy, REGARDLESS if they are butt buddies? Yes. Argument invalidated.

I’m not saying it should be covered, I just find it funny how Chevy can go prancing around talking about ‘Competition Mode’ in the Z06, and throwing around advertisements of their car catching air at the 'Ring, but yet turn a blind eye every time one goes to a dragstrip or a track. Humorous

No shit! That’s pretty good.

i hate imports, lawlz at gtr tranny sux0rs

I don’t have any more responses for you because three things are clearly obvious.

A. You don’t know how to read
B. You’ve never been near a dealership, track, or business environment in your life.
C. I can’t acknowledge your clearly LOGICAL arguments because I’m blinded by my undieing love for domestic cars. Now I will go do a burnout in my camaro.

Nope, GTR is a great car for the money. But taking a tuning icon and trying to make it tuneproof. Plus not making a manual option and having a less than stellar auto tranny really is not what the skyline was all about.
My 300ZX comment was just about how Nissan has a history of taking a good thing and messing with the formula too much.

With the relaunch of the 350Z and now the 370Z, they tried to get back to their roots and offer a great car for the money, but it is still too heavy for my liking.

SWEET! Get it on vid! :eekdance:

…mmk.

IMO its over hyped, and yes people harp on the tranny issue, its a good performer, no doubt… i would never buy one though…not my thing… dollar for dollar there is not a better performance bang for the buck then the LS7 powered Z06… /argument.

i thought i saw his argument at the beginning, and then i got confused as fuck.

Does the gtr still have the rev limiter set to 150 unless at a “nismo certified track” calculated by the gps or w/e bullshit

And what happens if the car breaks down at this certified track due to racing? Will everything be covered under warranty?

Hello, GM? I accidentally a LS7. The whole thing.

There was a yellow c6 z06 that blew his motor at the glen this summer when I was there for a HPDE. I think he misshifted on the toe of the boot and blew oil all over the track. I bet this is the guy

I love this thread…

Comparing a Z06 blowing at motor at a racing event…to GTRs blowing up trannys driving down the street

Also no companies warranty shit while at a racing event…

but both my comments have been beaten to death already and the idiot posting this isn’t going to change his mind…
